The Liz Painter Band is making its way onto the indie scene with delightful textures and tales. Liz creates a vast sonic space full with elemental and earth - based energies and images. Her vocals are infused with a dramatic, theatrical style. Her band backs her with a unique, rich and rhythmic orchestration. Their cutting edge rock and acoustic show can cross over into the folk- country genre at times as well. The 2007 release of Home Before Dark shows a powerful effort, and promises a successful career for Painter as she continues to compose and expose new songs painted in cinematic textures drawn from the high desert above Taos, New Mexico where she resides. She is currently working on these new songs with her band, performing regionally, and will be releasing a live CD/DVD in summer 2009!
“Painter is charming. Her poetic and original style rocks”,
says one listener from Toronto. Another says,“Painter’s work will take you away….perhaps as you haven’t been taken in a long, long while.”
Painter shows potential for a real and promising career. Watch out!
Liz Painter's debut Cd, Home Before Dark, is available to puchase through CD Baby and on her official website.
