Liz Rognes is a singer/songwriter and multi-genre artist based in Saint Paul, MN. She grew up in rural Iowa, surrounded by cornfields, prairie, and her father’s eccentric love for miniature animals. Santa brought her a piano at the age of two, and she has been playing ever since. Classically trained as a soprano, she started writing and singing folk songs in college and fell in in love with the idea of singing about her trouble. She regularly sings her heart out for measly tips, so once in a while she buys a lottery ticket, just in case. She has a B.A. in Music, 2005, and is about to embark on the promisingly lucrative task of attaining an M.F.A. in creative writing. Red Flags (Deep Sea Productions, 2009) is her first full-length album.
