   About Liz Seaver

Hello! I'm a 22 year old singer songwriter from Skerries Co. Dublin, began gigging when I was 16. My first major gig was a support slot for Damien Dempsey some other supports include Iain Archer, Albert Niland, Mickey Harte, John Jorgenson and Honor Heffernan. I've been playing music and singing all my life but I was about 14 or 15 when I knew that it was the life for me. It really began after I attended a songwriting workshop called Songschool as it gave me my first real taste of proper recording although I had been experimenting on a 4 track tucked away at home for a while by then. I began working for co-owners Peter Baxter and Chris Teusner after that and I have been ever since.

Other adventures along the way include playing with local bands, most memorable being The Wonderbraz on bass. My first real taste of the professional circuit was when I accompanied Matt Lunson (One Day International) on piano and vocals for a time, which took me to venues such as The Spirit Store in Dundalk and Crawdaddy of Harcourt Street.

In 2005 I recorded my debut album with the assistance and guidance of Peter and Chris. Since that I've has been doing different recording projects most recently with Donal Lunny fro Peter Baxter's upcoming album. I'm currently putting tracks together for a fresh future release. I'm working with engineer the talented Mr. Andy Knightley along with musicians and friends Eddie Scanlan, Sharon Hussey, Ross O'Conner, Roy Shields and Wayne Sheehy. The songs 'Inside Out' above is my latest recording.

At the moment I'm playing my own gigs round the country trying get myself out there as much as possible! 2008 saw me playing gigs in Whelans, The Boom Boom Room, The Sugar Club, The Solas Festival and 3 nights in Bewleys. Hopefully 2009 will be just as good if not better! Check out my music see what you think! Feel free to get in touch ;)

'With a catchy, memorable element to her melodies, along with that striking voice and endearingly modest stage persona...this is one girl whose more intimate gigs we should treasure before she hits the big time.'

Louise Roseingrave, The North County Leader

'Seaver is a young Dublin Singer-songwriter who specialises in acoustic folk-pop and is a talent to watch.'

Brian Boyd, The Ticket, The Irish Times

'"What a Surprise" pretty sums up the reaction of this reporter to the successive tracks in what is certainly no bedroom production...Surprisingly sensational debut from local teen'

Donncha Mac Raghnaill,The Fingal Independent
