CONFIRMED
Deadlock have released their EP/Video for C'nt Monkey and changed their band name to the The Book Of Lilith on January 23rd 09 at Amplifier Bar... GRRR!!!
..
The Book Of Lilith delivers a very unique professional performance which they have developed over the past four years. Fronted by a female vocalist which has been compared to that of a screaming banshee mixed with the cool melodies of Grace Slick, coupled with an enormous sound of intricate yet rocking music with powerful guitar driven songs, groovy bass lines and steam-train style drums, The Book of Lilith are a dark heavy melodic rock band with all the intentions and dedication to let people hear their sound and understand their concept of reality.
In the beginning The Book of Lilith’s band name was Deadlock, and it was not until the release of this EP that they have changed their name in order to be recognised as an individual and powerful entity in the music industry.
Hailing from WA’s South West, The Book of Lilith made their move to Perth to play to a larger audience and become a part of the historic Perth local scene.
From this The Book of Lilith has gained valuable live experience from performing at many venues around Perth, including the Castle, Amplifier Bar, Mojos, the Rock, the Rocket Room, Swan Basement, The Railway and the Lookout. They have also been involved in southwest tours along with other local bands.
The Book Of Lilith’s musical influences are from a wide variety of performers as they are five very different people with five very different tastes which add to their unique sound. Everything from Velvet Revolver to Kiss, Tool to Led Zeppelin, Slipknot to Johnny Cash, Nine Ince Nail to Gary Numan and Marilyn Manson to Jeff Buckley.
The Book Of Lilith are always looking forward, putting their first release together with Shaun O’Callohan of Studio Couch and Johnny Ma of Good Kid Productions, both helping to create a 4 track multi-media product inclusive a music video to The Book Of Lilith’s well know song C'nt Monkey. Ironically this EP has been named Deadlock and is to be released at Amplifier Bar on the 23rd January 09 along with an extensive promotional package.
The Book Of Lilith is; Scott Waddington, Guitar; Craig Cooper, Bass; Rachelina Santella, Vocals; Luke Parkinson, Drums; John Harvey, Guitar
