Please use the contact info at the official website to get in touch with Lizzy! MySpace messages may not be answered very quickly.

Bassist Lizzy Daymont was born and raised in Hinsdale, IL. Beginning piano studies at age 6, she went on to play alto sax in grade school before picking up the guitar at age 9. After playing guitar in her first band, she then moved to the bass where she has concentrated the most effort ever since. She studied bass performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston, performed in several bands, then moved to Seattle. There Lizzy has been a member of a succession of rock bands playing the Northwest club and festival circuit. Performance highlights include shows at Seattle's Bumbershoot and Bite of Seattle festivals, Austin, TX South By Southwest showcases, numerous radio and TV appearances with artist Susan Robkin and opening sets for prog rock giants Spock's Beard and Flower Kings with the band Lyranthe. She has worked in the studio with Steely Dan guitarist Elliott Randall, famed studio bassist Tony Levin, and legendary session drummer Jerry Marotta, among others.

Lizzy is available for hire as a bassist and participates in various recording sessions and live shows around Seattle. She is comfortable in almost any musical setting and plays a variety of instruments including fretless bass, electric or acoustic guitar and keyboards. She is a member of ASCAP and The Recording Academy's Pacific NW Chapter. She and her husband, drummer Pete Johnston, also write and record at their studio in Seattle. Currently, Lizzy is the bassist for original band Half Zaftig, featuring Seattle guitarist/writer Shawn "Yogi" Farley. She can also be seen performing live with Seattle industrial metal artist Charlie Drown and rock band Late September Dogs. See the calendar for upcoming live dates.

Apr 22 2009 6:54 AM

hi!
iam wolfgang the guitarist of dreamscape.
we should learn to be the best persons we can be and our world will change. i try.
but it's not as easy as playing guitar in a high class band...

H. Jackson Brown:
Good character is more to be praised than outstanding talent. Most talents are, to some extent, a gift. Good character, by contrast, is not given to us. We have to build it, piece by piece -- by thought, choice, courage, and determination.

kind regards!
