Ljudbilden & Piloten is Kristofer Ström, his music hew to a folktronic style reminiscent of Greg Davis and to a lesser degree Wechsel Garland. Theres a minimal degree of electronic processing, if any at all, with the focus firmly upon traditional instruments. Ström incorporates field recordings, which evokes an image of musicians practicing in some rehearsal space with city noises intruding from outside. Becalmed sounds of electric piano, bass, acoustic guitars, and soft trumpet tones appear at a tempo thats so relaxed its almost asleep. With bucolic theme and acoustic guitar picking, the Davis connection emerges. Ljudbilden & Piloten has released a splitalbum and a live CD with the Oakland based artist Gregg Kowalsky (Kranky) with the label Nosordo, which will also release debutalbum later this year. Recently he also released a 7" together with the japanese artist Kama Aina, also with Nosordo.

Vargas, the brand new band related to American Typewriter, is a Geneva all stars duet, trio or fourtet featuring members of Brakhage, Chapter, Equus, Impure Wilhelmina and Swoan. Tarragona is their debut album where they deliver a passionate and personal blend of indie pop, electronica, rock, blending intense mathrock spazz-outs with dense, dreamy melodies. It's released in a limited edition of 368 copies in white coloured vinyl (all of them stamp-numbered as we use to do). We are proud to announce the first American Typewriter release. It's a full length album by an Alaskan born and Portland bred maestro Matt Sheehy.
