People write about love everyday and make everything seem fairytale like, but telling the truth about some of the things we see and know which are real sometimes doesn't get expressed. I think its time4 the truth 2b displayed so some of the pain can be felt and released through my music.., maybe I can get some mothers2 wake up and realize that the kids should be first not a mate, watch your kids carefully see between the smile and the denial, don't take things4 grated know that tomorrows are not promised and every chance you get tell moms and dad---sister and brother you love them!!! Seriously there aint nothing gay about saying to family you really love them. Here2day gone2morrow can happen2anyone.
NOW ABOUT ME:
I have crafted my vocal style after years on the road singing background vocals for such R&B singers as Angie Stone, Randy Jackson and Horace Brown. I also was a very much in demand "session vocalist" for many A-List Producers including Mike City (Carl Thomas,Brandy, Sunshine Anderson), Troy Oliver (Ginuwine), just to name a few. Now I am stepping out on a solo career, to let the world hear my deep rooted messages about life's realities both good and bad. Some people say that I sound like Al Green, Marvin Gaye and other soul legends, but I am trying to blaze my own path. I Hail from Charlotte, NC ( home also to other notable R&B singers, my buddy Anthony Hamilton and Fantasia Barrio), I first started singing in the church, where I heard my musical calling at an early age. Influenced by the incomparable Stevie Wonder, Patti Labelle, and the late great LutherVandross, I began my musical journey traveling and performing in many talent contests throughout North Carolina. I won numerous awards and was even recognized by my High School classmates as the "Male Vocalist of the Year" my senior year. It was then that I realized my true passion and decided to master the craft of singing by enrolling into college to study music and take vocal lessons. In college I expounded upon my musical growth which supported my love for music and opened many doors for me. It was after college that I started working with A-list producers and many notable artists doing background vocals, which led me to the point I am at now. Look out for my new album "VISIONS OF LIFE" to be released soon, I am driven, determined to be ultimately one of the best male vocalist or our time. I also have very strong support coming from my mother and father (who in their own right are very talented singers), which is driving me towards excellence.
