New «Dream Splinters» - so it is possible to name collective «Flying Liars».
The group «Dream Splinters» was formed in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine in 90’s when all over the world there were many the bright interesting albums which have influenced all; when independent music only rose on commercial rails; when concepts «indie» and "alternative" meant absolutely another rather than now; when «grunge» has concerned electronic monsters «Depeche Mode» and electronic loops have come to «The Rolling Stones». Then it was fashionable to sing in English in Russian speaking country. In 1995 «Dream Splinters» recorded four English-speaking compositions in studio "Dialogue". A bit later the band began to sing in three languages – English, Russian and an Ukrainian language using a voice as a musical instrument instead of as text "carrier".
About five years ago some people of one Kiev television channel had stolen a part of composition "HAY" (Ukrainian) for their broadcasting needs. Then «DS» were once again convinced that with music at all of them is perfectly in order – people do not steal bad things. Before disintegration «Dream Splinters» had time to play in the best Moscow night clubs, for what many thanks to band «My Friend Truck and I» helping with the organization of concerts.
The history of «Flying Liars» has begun in the spring 2007 in Moscow when founders «DS» of Vad Kurilko (a guitar, a vocal, music, texts) and Nadezhda Slobodjan (the vocal, a beck-vocal, music) have found the adherent Alexander "SanchoBass" Ivanov's the bass player of Moscow group "Hours" who was organically entered in a command and has introduced in the checked up songs fresh breath. In the summer the main drummer of «Dream Splinters» Konstantin Frantsev has joined them.The concert program «FL» includes the best songs of «DS» plus absolutely new ones written already in the updated structure. In May, 2008 the group had recorded a debut album on « Mosfilm Studio » with well known sound producer Vladimir Ovchinnikov.
To define style of the music the most difficult for the musician and the most favourite for the journalist.Judging by structure – a guitar, a bass, the drums, three microphones – «Flying Liars» play the indie-pop. In each song there is a bright melody, soundtrack character and the strong thought over text. Vad writes texts long. But for a long time.
But do not hasten to trust all: they are after all – «Flying Liars».
