In the early 80's growing up in Guam I've always been exposed to good music. My love for good music started when I attended Debbie Deb's concert and watched her perform "When I hear music" and watching Herbie Hancock's "Rockit" video play over and over on my Sony Betamax. Then came Egyptian Lover and all of Bambatta's stuff. That was the era that hooked me in. I then joined a neighborhood break crew and was officially a b-boy. Later in the 80's it was LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys, Run DMC, and Kool Moe Dee that continued to make my head knod. Those were my days of the true school music. To this day my classics still get playlist love.

However when it comes down to work in the office, I'll listen to soulful jazz and house, drum+bass, break beats and trip-hop. A lot of downwtempo stuff. I've been deeply rooted to downtempo and electronic beats to get the creative juices flowing.

Who I'd like to meet: Someday...(posted on 2/2006)
A powerhouse marketing/creative team. But we've already met. My super talented team at Hi-Tec USA. BDub, Dayna, Josh, Mike and I produce great work. We constantly push the envelope in the outdoor and tactical footwear industry.
One on one with Steve Jobs, he's clearly a genius. I'd like to pick his brain on his vision of marketing and design and where Apple will be 5 years from now.
Jeff Ng @ Staple. I would love to someday collaborate with him. His work is amazing.
David Gensler @ The Royal Mag. Now that I know. You've got to know. Get ready to be inspired. Nuff said.
Founders, creative directors, designers, etc., etc. from all of the brands that I've represented and collected since day one. (circa '93-Present). Stussy, FreshJive, Nike, Adidas to name but a few. Their marketing, design and products have inspired me in what I do today. Street culture at it's finest.
Karim Rashid....an industrial / product / furniture design guru. His works sit nice in the office as well as our showers, bathrooms, and kitchen and are very inspiring. I dabble into clean and simplistic interior design with a touch of my personal work. A Modern / Street mixture is what I like to call it.
Could he be the next Michael Jordan? Absolutely! His game is raw and he goes by the name of Kobe Bryant.
My childhood / teenage friends from Guam (elementary '82-'84), Monterey / Fort Ord (post elementary-middle school '85-'88), to Modesto (middle school-high school '88-'94). The good ol' days from b-boyin', skateboarding, to bmx freestyling, hip-hop and pop culture, and back once again to b-boyin'. These were the days as a youngin', rollin' with my crews, that I truly embraced. If you were there...
drop me a line!
