   Lloyd's Blurbs
About me:
Lloyd was born in California’s wine country in 1947. He was raised in Kansas City and spent summers on the West Coast, mostly northern California. He came close to a bachelors degree in psychology at University of Houston 1970. Years later granted an accounting degree from California State University, Chico 1975. Lloyd also managed to get half way through an MBA program at the University of Santa Clara in the early 80s. Now lives in the Northwest with his wife of 35 years and three cats. Lloyd has worked as retail shelf stocker, janitorial office worker, greenhouse worker, type setter, press operator, dorm janitor, kitchen cabinet assembler, migrant farm hand, carpet cleaner, produce rack worker, pulled chain in a lumber mill, Fuller Brush salesman, math tutor, teaching assistant, study lab instructor, customer service rep, customer service supervisor, product manager, product marketing director, electronics buyer, aerospace buyer and senior commodity manager. Having been NAFTAed in the back in 2003 at the age of 55 by fellow Americans in congress and one east coast board room, Lloyd has been seeking gainful employment as a purchasing agent quite unsuccessfully ever since. To escape the boredom and frustration of job hunting, Lloyd began writing in January of 2005 an epic that begins in colonial America in 1676 and would conclude in the year 2009 or whenever it gets completed. In March 2006, he joined a virtual writer’s workshop (http://www.zoetrope.com ), a Francis Ford Coppola enterprise) and began writing other pieces for publication. Lloyd still submits old and newly written pieces for publication on the net. Currently, some of his work can be read by Googling Lloyd Hudson Frye. Besides continuing his work on the epic “Barnacle Bill the Sailor” (currently available in serial form by chapter under the title A Sailor, a Mohawk, and a Malamute on the premiere action/adventure site http://www.tnaobb.blogspot.com, now http://www.shaowdaily.com Lloyd is concurrently writing another book on a man that rapes and eventually kills rapists, another on the Second American Revolution, and one simply titled Clarence, a slow-witted man’s journeys through life, first seen in “Cindy Truelove”, a short story. Books already finished include Wife-beater Beater about a man that tracts down and assaults wife-beaters in his community after his mother dies from internal bleeding and The Knights of the Apocalypse, a frightening end-of-the-world spectacle considered un-publishable, due to the politically sensitive nature of many of the chapters. Sitting in piles in a fairly organized office are print outs and discs which hold finished and unfinished children’s stories, everything from magical unicorns and fairies to stories of snow leopards and dragons. Also there are completed and works in progress of feature length and short scripts for the big screen. Production of “Bear’s Late Supper” (a short script) scheduled to start February 2008 on the coast of Virginia.
Who I'd like to meet:
Agents and publishers that specialize in historical fiction & high adventure epics, men of letters from most fields, anyone who can carry a conversation and still has the ability and willingness to incorporate new ideas into their framework of life.
