Currently based out of Lawrence Kansas this hip piano-rock quartet blends great melodic ideas with relatable lyrics. Since their formation in 2005, their style has evolved from a trio of rowdy amateur jamsters into a tight knit jazz, blues and ragtime-influenced pop quartet that finally found their niche. They are dedicated to accurate melodic part-writing and quality composition as a single unit. They take pride in the uniqueness of their instrumental makeup of acoustic piano, saxophone, bass guitar and percussion.
Since formation, the group has entertained at venues such as the Granada, The Lied Center, The Bottleneck, Abe and Jakes with artists such as Afroman, Josephine Collective, Pomeroy, Imminent Domain, The Elders, and The Falling View.
Capitalizing on their eccentricity and dipping into many genres, Lloyd Likes Mike continues to write, travel, perform, and record, pursuing their goals and pleasing their audiences.
