Usually when people are sad, they don’t do anything. They just cry over their condition. But when they get angry, they bring about a change.

I am a Freelance Hobby Game Writer, and Website Designer who is constantly working on various websites, projects, mini-hobbies, my novel and numerous other things.

When I'm not busy writing or actually working. I enjoy meeting good people, fiction writing, improving myself, digital photography, my life, my children and extended family.

  • Music

I grew up during the Rock era of the late 80's/early 90's so I am partial to bands and sounds of that time. I also listen to Sting, Corrs, Travis, Robbie Williams, Elvis, Queen, Jamie Cullum, you see if it carries a good tune I will listen to it. Just check out my playlist...
  • Movies

Movies I like? My taste varies quite wildly I like movies that make you think, or carry a message, I like movies that are totally mindless and don't pretend to be anything other than sheer lunatic balls on entertainment - most important though the movie does have to good.

For inspiration you cannot beat Field of Dreams or Cool Runnings. For my inner geekiness I watch The Lord of the Rings, League of Extraordinary Gentleman, Spiderman, Exculibur, Flash Gordon pretty much any Jackie Chan movie.

Put those movies on, or any movie of that style and I will watch it like a very shiny object..
  • Television

Bit of an Anime fan, a Top Gear Junkie (the best TV show ever!), who also enjoys a pinch of professional wrestling from time to time, and an avid watcher of Attack of the Show.
  • Books

I am proud to say I am a once year The Lord of the Rings reader, a fan of The Blood of Kerensky, & The Outrageous Adventures of Caiphas Cain. I also highly recommend the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett to anyone who enjoys satirical novels on the fantasy side of fantastic.
  • Heroes

If you look carefully in life there are heroes all around you. Not the ones they put on TV, but the everyman working to keep there families together, the ones that step up when others step down, and those that have the courage to say enough...

About me:

Hello, I got my Write On for the National Novel Writing Month Challenge for the month of November and hit my 50K mark on 11/26/2009 at 12.35am. You can check out my Word Count and Daily Excerpts at NaNoWriMo as I bring this story to a close.

Oh and ermm, welcome to my Myspace profile. Put your feet up and read on as I tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Nick, and you may of guessed I'm English. Which at times makes me seem a little bit cranky and very sarcastic, but I put that down to being stuck in a country that is yet to make a perfect cup of tea. So why am I here? Well for my children, Michelle, Lance & Kristina, and to experience life at a very different pace. I'm not here in the USA for your cheap beer and to sell blue jeans back to my poor countrymen... Honest ;)

But to be serious, I live my life at an odd pace, I enjoy myself and I try to have a lot of fun with the insanity of my life. I'm easy going, very relaxed and laid back - see the wonders that drinking good English Breakfast Tea does?

Another reason I am here in the USA is that I love to explore, I do have thirst to learn to improve myself and welcome conversations of any type. I am naturally inquisitive, disarming honest and very frank. But it doesn't mean I don't like goofing off... In fact I have an accredited degree in goofing and procrastination. As a proof of my ability to shoot the breeze on the oddest of subjects. Check out the Following Very Silly Mini-Movie (Co-sponsored by Elle), Micriod Walking

I have worked as an Electronic Draftsman - taking me to exciting places such as Holland, and Sweden, before moving on to be a Mail Order Specialist (aka Order packer), Mail Order Marketing Manager, Graphics Production assistant, Content Editor (for a well known Fantasy Wargaming Magazine called White Dwarf), Content Writer & Producer, Photographer, Webmaster and Graphic Designer all for the same magazine & company... Phew... And you would be hard pressed to find a corner of the world that I haven't visited, flew over, or had a sleep over in. At the moment I am a full time Web Manager for a small Baltimore company, which means Web Designer, but with a lot more responsibilities.

To find out even more about me, and check out my personal website at Alt World.com. There you will discover all the cool internet projects I'm involved in, and you will also be able to view my online writers and website portfolio.

I've also designed a collectible action game of my own which I have dubbed Fight-DiceTM, you can view the artwork and updates at Fight Dice.com. I am now working towards getting it published and make my small mark on the gaming industry. I would love for Fight-DiceTM to be attached to a line of action figures like Stikfas, or even spawn its own line, and of course get the related Saturday Morning cartoon deal out of it... A Big Dream I know, but its important to keep the big ones out there as you never know when you will get your chance.

Who I'd like to meet:

Good People... If you are driven, ambitious, and just like to have fun, that works for me. I'm going through a divorce that has just started to get messy. And with the help of my girlfriend I am dealing with the baggage, and trying to give myself time for some space to sort my head out. But... If you love to goof off and just enjoy life as it comes to you, then drop me message, or a friends request. You never know I might just accept it ;)

Captain Kirk VS Captain Picard: Who would You Vote For?

Here's the big question at last you Star Trek fans ;) Who would you vote for "James T. Kirk" or "Captain Jean-Luc Picard" For me I do love both characters, but I lean a bit closer towards  "James T. Kirk" since I'm more of a classic Star Trek fan :)

Now my friends I ask you, who would you vote for?

Give me the name of this retro show that originated back in the mid 60's, but has been around for years, through dvds, toys and a movie a few years ago, based off these same characters.

"Wizard Of Oz" Who Was Your Favorite character?

Now this is what I really call "Kickin it Old Skool!" This is a movie I believe most of us have at least seen once or twice  no matter what age you are and it's a part of my childhood I've never forgotten. I really need to do a full blog on it sometime, but as of right now.. I ask you. Who was your favorite character?

As a kid my favorite character was always the "Scarecrow" and he has always remained one of my favorites. But my top favorite, would have to be the "Wicked Witch of the West", along with her endless battle to get those ruby slippers :)

Now I ask you, who was your favorite?

Alright "Masters of the Universe" fans it's time I've asked you this all out important question.. rather it be Villain or Hero..Who's your favorite He-man character? Toy or the cartoon character it matters not.

For me it will always be Stratos..

The leader of a race of Bird People from the land of Avion, Eternians with the power of flight and other bird-like abilities. With his People being close allies of He-Man, Stratos is one of his most trusted warriors. And of course he's one of my favorite characters ;)

    My Most Memorable Halloween costume..

What with Halloween right around the corner I thought this would make an interesting blog and question :) Growing up in the eighties, I've seen lots of crazy costumes.. But the one I've never forgotten.. is my "Kooky Spook" costume. Designed in the late 70's it was costume with a huge inflatable head, that of course came with make up, that never went well with glasses :) But it was a costume I had to have.

I've had many costumes since.. but this is for sure one of my most memorable and so retro ;) Now I'd love to hear about your most memorable.

Wonder Women VS SuperGirl: Who Will You Vote For?

Wishing You A Great Weekend.. With Yet Another Battle As Wonder Women Takes On Super Girl :)

We've Had Batman VS Superman, Megatron VS Optimus Prime..So now I think it's time for a real catfight and say -Wonder Women VS SuperGirl-

Truthfully I'm rooting for Wonder Women, she's always been one of my favorite heroes in the female world of superheros and lets face it, she is a Women facing off with just a Girl, who's gonna win that fight?

I'd love to hear your vote :)

Optimus Prime VS Megatron: Who Would You Vote For?

Upon popular demand.. I bring you good versus evil as Megatron takes on Optimus Prime, who will you be voting for? Prime's strong and good always wins over evil.. But, Megatron can also be very cunning and very powerful, if there were battle with no interruptions as there most always is, would Prime stand a chance of truly defeating Megatron?

The choice is yours..For me. I would say Megatron..He's been very close many times only to be stopped at that last moment. That and I believe he'd fight dirty to gain the upper hand ;)

Wishing You A Wild And Crazy Weekend..Along With This Lingering Question..Who's You're Favorite Dinobot And Why?

I must say there are a few I really favor.. Grimlock because he was my first Dinobot ever, the only Dinobot I ever had as a teen. Then Slag is pretty cool too, I love his all fight personality :) But I'd have to say my all time favorite would have to be Swoop! "Me Swoop No See Nothing!" And he's such a cool character and toy. He had to be one of the hardest Dinobots to get too :P
