Loaded is a spin off of Hulls Indie Club Night Yo-Yo, and was founded at The Piper Club on Newland Avenue Hull in 1999 by Dj Priya n Andiyo-yo.
"We got asked to do a Friday Indie club night by Baz Simmons, (then manager of The Piper) we nearly said no! We were running our club night Yo-Yo at Silhouette Club in Hull and it was doing, well pretty well!. But, we thought yeah ok we'll try one Friday, told a few people. No advertising just word of mouth we were gonna show up to Dj. The first one was packed out. It was incredible. Me n Priya got home and ordered a Peppino's Pizza. We chatted, drank red wine and realised the good folk of Hull liked what we liked playing. Maybe we should get a flyer done?! OK. What shall we call the night? Loaded? Said Priya, after The Primal Scream song. I picked up a cd by a band called Gay Dad and ripped off the design of the sleeve. The funny thing is, we've never had to dish out advertising for Loaded. It just fell into place. And, for coming up 10 years we've sold out pretty much every Friday night at Piper".

Our simple advice to you lovely people....if you love indie, and you like discounted drinks (who doesn't?!), then get yourself to The Piper every Friday night & see for yourself why hundreds of others come every week...and get there EARLY to prevent standing in that queue or buy a queue jump from behind the bar at Piper every Friday !
