Cassidy Singing Sweet Home Alabama, Sitting in with a Local Band in Maui, HI
Cassidy, Performing Take You Back By Jeremy Camp My Name is Jim Cassidy, I've entered a contest to play at fish fest 2008 sponsored by The Fish radio station(KFSH.Com) in Los Angeles California. By the way, I play guitar but I'm using it for a prop for the video because it was difficult to learn the vocals and the guitar parts in 2 days. Back to the contest, Please pass this url on to all the friends in your address book because it's based on views. If all my friends from around the world watch it 10 times I should get a lot of views. Just turn it on and leave the room, you don't even have to sit thru it. Heck , just keep it playing all day long.. Love you guy's and thanks for your help getting on stage with Jeremy Camp. I'll try and get everyone a autograph picture :-).
Peace,
Cass
Loads of love and thank you Jesus for changing my life in immense ways.. Take Me Back By Jeremy Camp

As a lead vocalist I've been in and out of Rock Bands for the past 25 years, the last was Seduce, we played gig's with bands like Great White, L A Guns, hangin with David Lee Roth or Carmine Appice at Gazzari's in the old days, Randy Piper from Wasp and alot of assorted 80'S Rockers at the Heads party house in Hollywood back in the day. It was one of the shows back in those days I was given the moniker "Hollywood James" by my buddy and drummer Ray, of course David Lee already had taken Diamond Dave. I alway's thought Diamond Jim would have been cool. Then my friends in Mexico started calling me Hollywood Jimito(pronounced Himito), Oh well. In the 90's I started playing more Guitar and got some gig's at local coffee house's one of which was Java Joe's in Ocean Beach in San Diego(that's where they found Jewel). Nothing much panned out from that and I moved back to L.A. to be closer to my Girlfriend(who became my wife) and went to work for Premiere Publishing, that company was owned by my Childhood friends, Rick & Scott. We did Art shows and combined them with Music Festivals. One artist we worked with was a child prodigy named Beso. We also managed a Rock Group called Bar 7 that included Jeff Keith and a couple other former Tesla band members. What a trip Jeff Keith is and one funny dude. We also managed a group called the Pimps and got them a deal with Hollywood records and the Pimps ended up on the original Mission Impossible Soundtrack. I was also fortunate enough to work with the infamous Ritchie Wise(The guy who produced the first 2 Kiss Albums. It was at this Job.
I started to see that I was getting over the darkness of the music industry and started focusing on how I could be a light in it. I started Playing predominatly Christian Rock/Contemporary worship music and old Hymns in the 2000's and started playing Celebrate Recovery's and for the last 5 years I've been playing those. I'm currently writing music for an upcoming cd and I'm doing an experiment. As I write a new song I will post it to get feedback as to whether or not I should record the particular song on the new untitled cd. I'll keep you posted. "Then I called on the name of the Lord: 'O Lord, save me!' The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. " (Psalm 116:4-5)
I long to see the Christian family really encourage one another. Perhaps you are dealing with a serious issue. You may feel like you can’t control it or in some way it’s controlling you. You are bound, even though you follow a Savior who said, “I will set you free from bondage.” You don’t need to be shamed because you are bound, but you need to admit it and you need some help.
I talk about lessons I have learned from pets and there is one that relates directly to this type of situation. Princess is our little dachshund and she loves to go sniffing around, checking everything out. Frequently, she’s gets a thorn or sticker. It is the saddest thing to see a little dog (who barely has legs anyway) pull one of them up so her belly drags the ground. It’s pitiful! With the kindest, most inviting voice possible I call out to her tenderly, “Got a sticker? Papaw will help you. ”
In the most humble fashion, she limps over to me for help. I always remove the stickers, but sometimes they break off and leave a tiny thorn in the pad of her paw. Princess will continue to hobble around until I say, “Let Papaw look. ”
She gets up in my lap, lies on her back and puts her paws up in the air. I’ll turn on a light, put on my glasses and sometimes use a magnifying glass. Gripping a pair of tweezers, I will tell her, “Papaw will get it, but it’s going to hurt when I pull it out.” When I pull it out, she licks her paw for a minute, then she’s happy again.
I was reflecting on this process when I realized some profound truths. When I can tell that she’s in pain, I lovingly invite her into my lap to take care of it. Even with people, it takes a compassionate invitation to gain their trust in order to help them. I don’t think Princess would ever come to me if I shouted, “Stupi
