I really dig life on two wheels: (Road, Mtn, & Motor), Music, Emergency medicine, Reading, working out, running, & coffee. Not always in that order & in varying quantities.
You Are Kermit
Hi, ho! Lovable and friendly, you get along well with everyone you know.
You're a big thinker, and sometimes you over think life's problems.
Don't worry - everyone know's it's not easy being green.
Just remember, time's fun when you're having flies!
Older rock music: Def Leppard, Journey, Van Halen ... country music: Brad Paisley, Don Williams, Patsy Cline ... Big Band: Glen Miller, Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw ... Anyone I forgot?
Movies
The Straight Story; The Cowboys; Open Range; Quigley Down Under; The Star Wars movies (original through Return of the Jedi); The Lord of the Rings; & The Matrix Trilogy although I still think the third one ended on a bum note.
Television
The Muppet Show!! Motorcycle racing during the season; a sister turned me on to the show "Firefly." Pretty much anything on The History Channel.
Books
Selected Works of O Henry ... The Autobiography of George Muller ... Bible (NASB personal preference) ... Starship Troopers ... Paradise Lost ... Beowulf ... Motorcyclist magazine ... Cycle World magazine ... Sport Rider magazine ... Newsweek ... U.S. News & World Report ... The Albuquerque Journal
Heroes
My Dad ... no foolin' he really is one of my top heroes. If I can be half the man he is when I grow up, I'll be doing ok. =) ...
Jim Elliot: if you don't know who this is, you owe it to yourself to read up on him. Try his wife's excellent book "Beyond the Gates of Splendor." ...
Elizabeth Elliot: Jim Elliot's wife. Most people would've quit their faith after enduring what this lady's put up w/. She's got quite a story. ...
Phil Keaggy: guitar hero / pragmatic Christian extraordinaire. Not only is this guy a fantastic artist, but he's an example of living the christian life rather than just talking about it. ...
George Muller: 19th century evangelist / missionary. He lived a life that would be unheard of in this day & age. He was an ordinary man of extraordinary faith. Try his book "The Autobiography of George Muller." Not only personally inspiring but also some great, actionable thoughts on how a church (as a corporate body) should be run.
About me: I grew up in central New Mexico in an area known for its dairy farms.
During 30-plus years I've been a dairy worker, feed store muscle, radio DJ, photographer, civilian paramedic, & Army flight medic.
I'm husband to the most fabulous woman on the whole da(rn) planet.
I have some of the finest friends a guy could ask for, & the greatest family as well.
The Almighty continues to be gracious (blessing me beyond what I deserve) & merciful (not giving what I do deserve).
In retrospect not every event or experience was pleasant but all of them conspire together to make me who I am the good parts along w/ the bad ones & the ugly bits too. =)
What type of person do you attract?
Your Result: You attract Yuppies!
You attract the very well-dressed, job oriented type of people. They usually have their finances together, are 'middle of the road' on most topics, generally happy with the 'main-stream' of things. If it is stability you are after, these are good people to attract, if you seek adventure, it may be time for an overhaul.
Who I'd like to meet: I met her ... in fact I married her. Now I'd like to meet any critters/varmints (read: children) we may be collectively inviting to share our life.
what up punk? i'd like to get some ridin' in but two things are against me, one the weather is sucky now in SA and two the only ride avalible is my sister's HD Sporster (which is too small for 5'10"+ persons.
