Economic Issues
Widening economic disparity and growth of poverty are the cause, result, or inhibiting factor to progress in resolving most every problem, local or international. Successful localities and their place in local support networks are the key to creating economic balance, raising standards in poor communities, and resolving local and international issues.
Environment
Increased local production of goods and agriculture promotes energy conservation and sustainability, and improves the standard of living for many people within the community. This necessary benefit to the community relies significantly on consumer education and awareness through local media, and dissemination of local values by individuals and organizations throughout communities.
Community Needs
Communities need local representation in media in order to build social responsibility and raise standards of living. Increased avenues for local expression promote greater connectedness for communities, impacting safety and public health, as well as satisfaction and diverse educational interests.
Cultural Resources
Cultural resources - arts, organizations, and the traditions and local markets that form the identity of communities - depend on local interests and support from local individuals and businesses in order to thrive and contribute significantly to quality of life in communities.
