Carlo Addaris was born and grew up in San Sperate, a village in the south of Sardinia. He's quick in starting to explore the enchanted world of music. He sharpens his musical ear by listening to his older brothers' LPs and he starts, as a teenager, to play the guitar as well as the piano and the keyboards.
It is during these years that he starts to develop a personal taste that goes from the alchemy of electronic music to the visceral charm of rock.
At the beginning of 2000 Carlo departs for his first real musical adventure by starting the band Colazione Freak. With them he manages to set free his passion for indie music, noise and New Wave.
He plays everywhere in Sardinia with his band and he also manages to get to the national scene by playing on the stages of important festivals such as Tora Tora!! Festival, Rock Tv Tour, Voci per la Libertà.
The experience with the band comes to an end in 2006. For Carlo this is the right stimulus to start his current project Lo-Car, by which he manages to put together his passion for song-writing and electronic music. He emphasizes his indie influences and eliminates the noise roughness while sharpening his taste for melody. The tracks which compose the project are halfway between NYC indietronic and European minimalist pop music.
During the live concerts Carlo, apart from singing, plays LapTop, synths and efx, and is accompanied by his good friend Walter, guitarist and bass player who puts even more liveliness in Lo-Car live concerts.
In the recent months Lo-Car has been in places as diverse as the Café del Mar, in Bari, and the cultural centre Brancaleone in Rome (where the set was closed by the performance of Ellen Allien), for the ElettroWave Festival 2009.

Carlo is in Cologne for the Academy of Media Arts...and still looking for new influences and new collaborations.

Carlo Addaris, nato e cresciuto a San Sperate, paese del sud della Sardegna, non tarda ad affacciarsi nel mondo della musica.
Comincia subito ad affinare l’orecchio ascoltando i dischi dei suoi fratelli maggiori e subito comincia, appena adolescente, a suonare chitarra, piano e tastiere.
In questi anni coltiva un gusto tutto suo che va dalle alchimie dell’elettronica al fascino viscerale del rock.
All’inizio del 2000 Carlo comincia la sua prima vera avventura mettendo su i Colazione Freak coi quali da spazio alla sua passione per l’indie americana, il noise e reminescenze New Wave.
Con la band suona in lungo e in largo per la Sardegna sino a spostarsi a palcoscenici nazionali suonando sui palchi del Tora Tora!! Festival, Rock Tv Tour, Voci per la Libertà.
La band non ha però lunga vita, e interrompe il suo percorso tra il 2005 e il 2006.
Per Carlo è la spinta in più che lo porta a concepire il progetto Lo-Car.
Mette insieme la sua passione per il song writing con l’elettronica, enfatizza le influenze indie eliminando le ruvidità noise e affina il gusto per la melodia.
Nascono una serie di brani a metà strada tra l’indietronic newyorkese e il minimalismo pop europeo.
Nei live, che non tardano ad arrivare, Carlo oltre a cantare, suona LapTop, synths e efx, e si fa accompagnare dall’oramai fedele Walter, bassista-chitarrista, che da un ulteriore vitalità live a Lo-Car.
Negli ultimi mesi, dai club e festival locali, Lo-Car si è spostato sino a club quali il Café del Mar di Bari e il Brancaleone di Roma (serata conclusasi con il set di Ellen Allien) entrambi per ElettroWave Festival 2009.
