Böse Zungen behaupten, bei den Loco Slickers gehe es nur um Frisuren und Modetrends. Das dem nicht so ist, wird jedem schnell klar wenn man sich die Musik dieser etwas anderen Band zu Gemüte führt. Sie klingen zwar wie eine Grossstadt-Disco, lassen aber nicht die Plattenteller, sondern ihre Gehirnströme kreisen und spielen ihre Musik live, und erst noch mit Instrumenten. E-Drums, Synthesizer, Gitarre. Hinzu kommen einige kleine elektronische Gastarbeiter. Da werden Stimmen durch Schläuche geleitet, Sounds gemorpht und Beats gestampft, aber alles immer mit dem nötigen Schuss Funkyness.
Wie konnte das passieren? Während man sich die letzten Jahrzehnte am Anblick der Flumserberge ergötzte und sich dabei frische Alpenluft einverleibte, konnten viele musikalische Ideen reifen. Electro–Disco–House; um mal ein paar Schubladen zu öffnen. Aber eigentlich ist es den Loco Slickers egal was sie machen und was sie tun, woher sie kommen und wohin sie gehen, im Moment sind sie da und tun was sie tun müssen und das ist gut so.
