Biography

Locracy evolved out of the carinthian Death Metal Band called Making Skies Fall. The only core-member of MSF left is Stefan who played the drums since their founding a long time ago. After the band moved to Vienna Stefan had to find new members for guitar, bass and vocals.

Through a forum Georg and later Jack were found to join the Band as guitarists. In the autumn of 2007 Peter, who wanted to be a guitarist earlier, but wasn't skilled enough, joined the Band as vocalist and brought a friend of him to play bass . After one year of secret work in the practice-room the band chose to hit a "studio" to record their debut before playing a single show. Shortly before the recording started the name was changed to LOCRACY which was basically the birth-second of the band.

While recording the band figured, that the bassists skills didn't match the requirements and so Stefan H., who recorded and mastered the debut, joined the band.

After recording the band started to play gigs in Vienna. After half a year of playing gigs and writing new songs, Stefan H. decided to leave the band in June 2009 to join another project. Once again the internet helped to find a new member and so Kevin became the new bassist.

The highlight of the bands career so far was their gig at Metalcamp 09.

LOCRACY is now working on songs for the second album which will determine their style. LOCRACY is progressive Melodic Death Metal with ballbreaking brutality and spineshivering melodies.

And there is hell of a lot more to come ...
