Youth Week 2011 - OWN IT!!
Newcastle City Council and The Loft are again pleased to support
Youth Week for 2011 - OWN IT!!
So, if you are a young person (12-25 years old) with a great idea and want to see it happen, then maybe we can help.
The Loft is now calling for expressions of interest by young people, and organisations that work with young people, for activities to run in Youth Week 2011. Youth Week 2011 this year is from April 1 to April 10.
We are strongly encouraging young people to directly apply for funding to create the activities they want to see happen in the Newcastle area. If you are an organisation it is important that the project is driven by young people at each stage of development.
Ideas and projects that are creative, fresh, new and unique are encouraged and we are looking forward to projects that focus on;
The positive promotion of young poeple in the community; Provide young people with the opportunity to express their views and talk about issues that affect their lives, and; Develop ways to try and address the issues that young people identify as important to them.
If you want to see what youth week is all about, look for some inspiration, see what types of activities other young people have put together or just check out some more information you can visit these websites
