Livin' life with my babe. Awwww.....ain't we cute?????
Debunking everyone's obsession with perfection. It's not about perfection....just what's perfect for me. I think people would be happier if they realized that.
Sacred love over profane love
Seeing the Aurora Borealis
Figuring out why people are so afraid to go after something they want.

Boys!
Shoes! (just kidding, but this is funny)
Music
My acting debut in a video by a band I managed for 4 years. I actually made it on IMDB as the "Hot Librarian" LOL
Anything that doesn't suck. I mean come on, how long would that question take to answer? I like all sorts really. Rock, Classic Rock, Modern Rock, Goth Rock, Hard Rock, Rockabilly, Traditional/Honky Tonk Country, Bluegrass, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Blues...duh. I think I covered them all eh? Faves include David Bowie, Nina Simone, Fleetwood Mac and Stevie (Nicks, that is...), Coldplay, Steadman, ELO, NIN, Muse, Jeff Buckley (of course), Elliot Smith, Beck, Heart, BRMC, Leonard Cohen, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Edie Brickell, Allison Krauss, Garbage, Poe, The Kinks, PJ Harvey, Queen, Bad Company, QOTSA, Neil Young...and so many others that I really have to ponder it for a while... :-)
A Perfect Circle...RAWKS!
Movies
Another ridiculous question...but let's see, some that I've revisited recently that I love.....Star Wars Trilogy (the first one), The Illusionist, Goodfellas, American Beauty, Lord of the Rings, Interview with the Vampire, Men In Tights, The Jerk, Dracula, A Beautiful Mind, The Usual Suspects, O' Brother Where Art Thou?, Troy, Underworld, Good Will Hunting, History of The World, The Age of Innocence, This is Spinal Tap, Twister, Titanic, The Muppet Movie, Gladiator, The Princess Bride, From Dusk Til Dawn and The Scarlet Letter. I love films that make you think. And period films....especially soppy, romantic ones. Anything Mel Brooks or Monty Python totally cracks me up. And I love Vampires...
Television
OK, my boyfriend and I got hooked on Rock of Love. How pathetic are we? But it's just so damn stupid. I mean, psychos and titty dancers fighting over Bret Michaels with his beer belly and stringy faux hair. That is some serious entertainment. LOL.
Though I have a weakness for X-Files reruns at 4am, I am a firm believer that television sucks the life out of you and is evil....however I will often stop on a game of Texas Hold 'Em and I try to never miss my favorite SNL skits:
"Guess what? I got a fever...and the only prescription is more cowbell"
Or our favorite South Park Moments.....
The Theory of Evolution
And I really miss the ingenius antics of The Muppet Show...
Manamana....
The Swedish Chef
Whose Line Is It Anyway ....makes me laugh out loud...every....single....time.
Books
Boycotted books for a while - high school and college really wore me out on the "required" reading. I recently read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand and now reading Atlas Shrugged. I think I'll read The Mists of Avalon soon too. Also love horror and suspense...Dean Koontz, Stephen King...The Talisman is one my favorites. I'm currently tackling Clive Barker's Imajica.
And I don't care what anyone says, I love me some Harry Potter. I mean how much fun is that stuff to read? VERY! YAY, I love my inner 10 year old.
Heroes
My Mom - for raising me to be such a strong woman.
My Dad - for giving me such a warped sense of humor.
And all of those who dare to enter the Lion's Lair...for I know I am a handful, but totally worth it! (thanks Mom!) ;-)
My friends and family are my heroes...those who have been there through thick and thin and still remain. And what is life without the people you share it with? Nada.
About me:
Well, I love music and I work in music so isn't it cool that I get to do what I love?
It started in Nashville as a publicist for a small Music Row firm, where I worked on media campaigns for Billboard Books, country artist Jeff Bates and country music legend, Charley Pride. A move to artist management and publishing found me working with such big names as Diamond Rio, BR549 and Keith Urban as well as liaising with Capitol Records, Arista Records and Lyric Street Records. I also spent an enormous amount of time in Writer Relations at a successful indie publisher working one on one with multi-platinum selling artist/songwriter Keith Urban and multiple Grammy winner Soggy Bottom Boy, Harley Allen, among others.
In 2002, I was put to the task of handling Publicity and Production in the U.S. for famed Australian comedian, Kevin "Bloody" Wilson which led to me spending six months in Australia.
In 2003, I returned to the States in time to help create and ultimately become a partner in Dan Workman Music also affiliated with sister companies, SugarHill Recording Studios and Essential Sound Mastering Studio. These facilities turned out amazing hits from the Big Bopper, Freddie Fender, Destiny's Child, George Jones and many more.
In Feb 2006 I broke away from that tribe to consult under the name of Miscellaneous Music Group. I handled day to day Management, PR and Booking for several Texas acts in Country, Rock and Gospel. I was also the talent buyer for live music venue Cosmos Cafe in Houston, TX.
Most recently, I was Label Manager and A&R Manager for Compadre Records and Music World Entertainment. Company artists included Billy Joe Shaver, James McMurtry, Trent Willmon, Beyonce, Lyfe Jennings and Destiny's Child. I also handled day to day artist management for Billy Joe Shaver and A&R for Compadre release JOHNNY CASH:REMIXED
I am currently in Nashville looking for my next big challenge. I recently handled Tour Management, Merch and Publicity for The Tennessee Three and still handle PR for renowned Nashville mastering studio Independent Mastering.
