This project is supported by Neighbors Project, a non-profit that inspires and trains the new urban generation to connect with their neighbors through projects that improve the neighborhood for everyone.
About me: We're a group of Logan Square residents who want to use the community bulletin board underneath the California stop of the Blue Line to help the diverse residents of Logan Square get to know each other better.
The board is a bit unloved right now, but it could be a great place to find out about upcoming shows, missing pets, local volunteering opportunities and more. The space could also host neighborhood events, from pumpkin carvings to whatever.
Who I'd like to meet: Logan Square residents who have ideas for improving this space. Click the VolunteerMatch logo to volunteer. Seriously, we need your help.
If you can't volunteer, please donate $10 to help us turn the bulletin board into a great community place.

Love your neighborhood corner store? Yeah, so do we. Show it off in all its splendor -- including its fresh produce -- by throwing a Bodega Tasting Party. Bust open your Bodega Party in a Box for recipes, shopping tips, invitations and even a hot shopping bag and party decorations. You can be a party of one or invite the whole neighborhood, on one night or every night of the year. $35 plus shipping.
Your Bodega Party in a Box funds the Food & Liquor project, which helps get more fresh produce into local corner and liquor stores, and other Neighbors Project initiatives.
if you're in the area or feel like going to a new area or know people who either are in the area or would like to go to a new area, come to the Whistler at 2421 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Logan Square this Saturday, October 25th. I'll be performing a set starting at 8pm. You can check out what the Whistler is all about here: http://www. whistlerchicago. com/
I have two (2) upcoming shows and I want you, yes, YOU, to be there. There would be nothing quite like having you out there and I am 100 percent certain that I will maybe dedicate a song in your direction. Think of the possibilities...just THINK about it. I'll see you there.
One show is at the ELBO ROOM on Monday (this coming Monday) July 21. I go on stage at 9pm and play for approximately around exactly one hour. The ELBO ROOM is located at: 2871 N Lincoln Ave...the cost of this is Seven Dollars...what else are you gonna do with Seven Dollars...not a whole lot, probably.
Another show is Tomorrow, Friday July 18 at the Brown Triangle ART GALLERY SPACE in the beautiful stunning Pilsen neighborhood. The address is 2214 W. 21 St. You can get there by riding the PINK LINE, which, unlike the BROWN LINE, has seats for sitting while riding. This show starts at approximately 7pm, and the music begins at 8pm. The first hour will be a Glad-Handing-Type affair and much art will be discussed, I'm sure I think. At 8pm, I will play for approximately exactly 40 minutes at which time I will exit the staged area and Julia Rich will play. Julia Rich can be found here http://www. myspace. com/juliakrich and then after Julia Rich a guy will play some BANJO. How can you miss that?
Hi Neighbors--Christopher House is sponsoring a community arts project to create a large mural for its front wall on Altgeld. the method is called bricolage, using tiles, mirrors and colored grout. Community participants will help generate the design. Participants of ALL ages are invited to share their stories and add a "piece" to the wall. Meetings are every Tuesday from 5:30-7:30pm at 3255 W. Altgeld.
Community Arts Project Meeting: Tonight! at 5:30pm at the Christopher House, 3255 W. Altgeld. Come and tell "your story" at this design meeting for a neighborhood bricolage!
Samantha thanks for your clarion call and your foresight to kick this mission off later on a Saturday Afternoon as oppose to the an early morning! It was great to meet you and Justin who really worked hard, like a modern day John Henry! Perhaps as compensation for being scooter less :-) Any way I know this will grow as another vital source of communications for all of Logan Square
Any way I will reach out to Logan Square Walks to include this in their walking patrols and of course the The Logan Square Draught Beer Preservation Society
