I don't watch much TV, but occasionally I'll tune into the Daily Show.

In the past I watched (and still enjoy) Gargoyles, Sailor Moon, Utena, Daria, Downtown, Dragon Half, and to a lesser extent Tenchi Muyo (the early episodes that were actually funny).

I want to see Excel Saga + other good anime. I'm thinking of starting an anime club.

Books
Reference books

For 15 years I searched for a Latin dictionary that has a translation for "television". I finally found it in the book Conversational Latin: for Oral Proficiency. The word is "televisorium". Who would have guessed!? :O

Fiction

The mists of Avalon and The Forest House are long time favorites, and sometime when I get a chance I'll reread them.

Computer books

C++ Primer Plus is a C++ book that I just finished (pretty good despite frequent typos), and The XSL Companion is one of the most direct, most clearly-written, and one of the best computer books I've ever read, and can easily be had for $1 online. Lately I've been reading xForms Essentials.

More about my books...

See my Goodreads profile for a more thorough reading list and my paperbackswap profile for books I'm done with and giving away.

   Logomachist's Blurbs
About me:

Like the solitary unicorn, I'm a loner. I get along with most people well enough, but I don't have many friends. I'm not very talkative and I keep to myself. It is because of these qualities a friend of mine said I would make an excellent assassin. Also like the unicorn, I'm very stubborn. While I try to be fair, when I'm out to achieve a goal I pursue it with single-minded abandon. So watch out.

But I have good qualities too! For example, I'm tolerant, patient and sincere.

The above is but a glimpse of my personality. If there's something more you want to know about me, ask.

Who I'd like to meet:
I'm especially interested in meeting:
  1. A girlfriend
  2. Someone new to study C++ (and other programming languages) with. I'm studying AJAX now and I'm going to start studying Ruby in a few weeks.
  3. Anyone willing to correspond with me in Latin, and tolerate my inadvertent butchering the language
But I'd also expect I'd get along with, and so would like to meet:
  • Anyone interested in socializing along side playing a game, discussing computers or watching anime.
  • Anyone interested in discussing one of the books I'm currently reading or a book I plan to get to eventually.
  • People who carefully consider their philosophies and religious beliefs, and view them as personal challenges more than justifications.

  • Friends for life.
  • Someone to unleash my inner silliness- someone who'll run around with me in the rain like a child, who'll plot world conquest with me, and be fascinated by my theory that Gummy Bears was Dinsey's take on the Cthulhu mythos.

One last thing.... When you contact me, tell me about characters you identify with. It gives me an idea what you're like, and what fictional universes you're interested in.

I followed the properties of the test and isolated the trait measuring factors of each test and compared them with each other. Each test was---extremely difficult to do..

Do you like personality tests? I find them fascinating.

ummm the study tried to show the correlation between the color and personal perception as it affects a person's personality...

I had a group of subjects take color tests that were designed to test a person's personality based on the color they chose or avoided in their selections, and one test that measured personality through a questionair. Results were mixed... not at all conclusive.. going to be designing a website this summer that will effectively get more anonymous participants and gather more information at a speedier rate to back up my hypothesis that color effects personality.

Though.. I would like to add a second hypothesis, or H2, that asks how color affects personal perception of the self, as apposed to how color affects the manifested exterior personality...

That's what the paper was about..

So yeah..

Hey,nicely diverse.Lokk's a bit like by own collection -I have trouble with a lot of "non-fiction" for some reason.I know it's often closer to the truth in so many ways and all.The natural world continually astounds me ,however, and there's just so much out there I want to learn about.

I like your stuff,though.
