I am a children's author and the mother of two wonderful daughters. My youngest daughter, Ashley Marie is a dynamic singer. She is fun and funny, and she is my friend. My oldest daughter, Shannon is the mother of my perfect grandson, Matthew. Shannon is serious and smart and very kind hearted. Dan is my husband of almost 26 years, my friend, my confidant, my love and my support system. I am blessed to have these four in my life.
My favorite things are reading and writing children's books and practicing agility with my Sheltie dog, Ryley. I'm also crazy about anything horses and Chincoteague Island.
I love to talk to kids in the classroom and get them fired up, so they will write, too. There are so many incredible ideas swirling around us. We only have to harness them, turn them into stories and share them with the world.
