Lola Manchego

About me:

Lola is a Helsinki-based burlesque performer, doing both solo work and group numbers with the Itty-Bitty Tease Cabaret Girls. Lola transforms in a snap from a 50s bikini girl to a coal miner or a Mexican gunslinger with mesmerising, er, sombreros. Always a tease, always a hoot, Lola "Cheeks" Manchego shimmies and shakes on-stage for all she's worth.

Lola's solo performances include "I'll never read Trollope again" in which she lifts her nose out of her Victorian classics to tell you what a love affair gone wrong can do to a girl's literary pursuits. Another favourite is Lola's moustachioed Ice Cream Lady-Man, unable to resist the lure of that special, special popsicle.

Recent performances include the Helsinki Burlesque Festival 2009, the Slipper Room in NYC as well Club Wanted, Helsinki's pioneering burlesque club, where Lola has featured from the very first night.
