I just recently met an 80 year old woman who just started training on the lyra so she can perform at her 80th birthday party. When I chatted with her she told me she ran away at 18 to be a show girl and a bareback rider in the circus. Now she teaches prisoners Shakespeare (she still rides. She also told me she took her daughter (who was 12 at the time) to see "Evelyn West and her Tresure Chest". Then she told me I was beautiful and asked if she could see me perform. I am amazed by her:) |
