"If you call your band LOLLIPOP, you're just asking to be put on the bill with bands like Nashville Pussy"..."LOLLIPOP turned Arthur Lee's 7 AND 7 IS into an insurance claim."- The M.F.Press
Nobody EVER grew their hair THIS long! Spawned near the mouth of the Mighty Niagara, this deceptively angelic Mr.Potato Head of a band hastened it's path to implosion.
LOLLIPOP went through a few changes of the brow, hat and nose while slathering through various basements, lofts, and skanky bars in the Queen City…oozing out its Sleazy Orgiastic Freedom Noize. “Nash, Ogden’s Cash”, “I’m A Wire”, “Write Me a Poem” and “Bastard Son of Carburetor Dung” were all honed in the catacombs throughout nickel-town. LOLLIPOP also chose to reweave a few covers, and sleazify a few others. Somewhere out there, are a few versions of such iconic blasts as “Poison Ivy” “Lips In The Hills” “Street Fightin’ Man” and “48 Crash” from places like the Essex Street Loft, the Carpet Club, the Cabaret, and Asbury Alley.
LOLLIPOP’s version of “7 and 7 Is” and “Crynalyn” fueled up the band to take a campaign of Amphetamine Gonzoid Filth throughout the rest of the country, to reign supreme in what was considered to be Garage Rock in the 90’s.
Now, I said NOW mutter puckers, stay tuned...oh yeah, and for a complete discography check out GRUNNENROCKS.com

The planets will align this Friday when the likes of Chylde, The Suede Brothers (Cleveland), Nick Gordon, & The Finale (Keith Buckley’s new band from Every Time I Die) come together to slay all of which you knew of music, life and happiness. The festivities begin at 9pm and you get all of this for a mere 5 dollars (US currency). We will be playing a couple of our new songs and will have demos to hand out to show our gratitude of your presence. Good ol’ fashioned warmth in a glass will be of abundance. Hurry before the tundra forms and you get trapped indoors forever.
Knee Cheese (Nietzche’s) on Allen, the center of everywhere. 9pm
ANABEL! You just topped of this particular week better than ANY particular week could be topped off! There must be a reunion of ALL PHASES-LOLLIPOP. A sort of LOLLIPOP Konvention (yes, I AM aware that I spelled (that) with a "K". Thank you for your contribution! Bring MORE, if you will, Miss Anabel! It was A GREAT union this past week! All those part of it, I am confident, agree. Keep the faith. RoB
"Write Me A Poem" is simply one of the best garage/noise songs ever written. I remember when it first came out, being blown away by it. Today, it blows me away just the same. The whole fucking world should know who Lollipop is.
