An excerpt from a review in The Independent News Paper -
"Imagine a more intense Cardigans, or a more upbeat Kills. At the studio, I get a taste of Kiosk's forthcoming album. The band's bluesy feel is even more pronounced as layers of sound have been stripped away to leave more space for Skinner's edgy riffs and Nicolson's pouting vocal style. While their sharp, punky attack may gain them attention, it is Kiosk's quieter numbers that should win them long-term devotion.
This was seen on the "Stratospheric" EP, where among Skinner's own compositions lay the simmering resentment and violent imagery of "Daylight Robbery".
Drowned in Sound -
"Buzzsaw guitar heroics on 'Make It Stop' compliment Nicolson's sinister Katie Jane Garside (minus the shrieks) mannerisms to a tee, and along with kindred spirits Ladyfuzz, Kiosk look set to put some balls back in grrrl powered rock."
Artrocker -
"They come at you like a fireball of noise. Tight guitar riffs mingling with Krissie Nicolson's viperish PJ Harvey/Johnny Rotten hybrid vocals are just devilish. She really does sing like an indie boys wet dream (as has been said of her) and owns a unique sort of magnetism. Grrrr"
Losing today -
"Aaahh-Sir Donald of Ross Skinner ably demonstrates where all them cool little sounds on the early work of J Cope sprang forth from plus a sort of Hivesy garage punk gutsiness and a girl singer with driven cool agogo."

Mama Shamone – THESE GUYS AREN’T PLAYING LIVE (except one acoustic) EXCEPT AT GLASTO FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR! http://www. myspace. com/mamashamone “Put Mama Shamone on at any venue and they are likely to take the roof off, this was one of the best live shows I’ve seen in years - certainly one of the best in London. In my opinion these guys are destined for greatness, it felt like I was witnessing history being shaped-something was just so right about what they were doing up there.” Vibe Bar
We Yes You No www. myspace. com/weyesyouno “We Yes You No sing about the end of the world, the end of everything. But in an apocalypse that would sound like this I would buy god’s last EP” – Big City Redneck
Language http://www. myspace. com/languageuk “"The verbosity of funk, the poetic twang of intelligent pop. The bridge between Franz Ferdinand and Smashing Pumpkins perhaps" – Bugbear
