At London Sunshine you will hear a finely blended mix of indie and electro. We play music that gets you dancing and generally makes you a bit mental. You will hear music from people such as Digitalism, Justice, Tiga, The Rapture, Chromeo, Friendly Fires, Soulwax, Daft Punk, Boys Noize, Does It Offend You Yeah? and Simian Mobile Disco. We will also play lots of fun things from labels like Ed Banger, Kitsune, Turbo etc. The guest djs will play whatever the hell they like... this varies from minimal (Friendly Fires) to reggae (Man Like Me)...
Movies
Robocop, Starship Troopers and Wayne's World.
Heroes
Tom Parker + Owen Pidcock + Lex Bootherstone (especially Lex).
All heroes. Every one.
Plus everyone that comes down. Obviously.

London Sunshine London Sunshine with Stopmakingme on Saturday 7 December Posted at 7:19 PM Nov 24 view more
London Sunshine is a monthly night that takes place at The Amersham Arms in New Cross on the final Saturday of the month. It is firmly based upon the following principles:
*LOUD MUSIC (INDIE/ELECTRO)
*CHEAP ENTRY
*EVEN CHEAPER ALCOHOL
*GENERAL IDIOCY
The idea behind the night is that it is just like a big house party where everyone can come, get ludicrously drunk, dance like a crazed lunatic and then do it all again. It isn't a particularly big or clever formula but it does appear to work.
London Sunshine is fairly young (it only started back in October 2007) but since then we have put on some of the best nights that South East London has seen in a long time. We have featured dj sets from Riotous Rockers, Dean Tynan, The Rakes, Last Japan, Poj Masta, Slutty Fringe, Dead Kids, Friendly Fires, Man Like Me, Goldierocks, Hatcham Social, Pull Tiger Tail, Race Riot, Gaucho, London Loves, Wilkie Wilkinson from Mr Hudson & The Library, Food Soundystem and A.R.F djs. We also put on a live set from Kennedy although that was just a little bit odd really.
London Sunshine is returning for another fanastic night of ill-advised behaviour on Saturday 5 December. Following the success of the previous events we have decided to stick to a tried and tested formula of....
*LOUD MUSIC (INDIE/ELECTRO)
*CHEAP ENTRY
*GENERAL IDIOCY
London Sunshine is back for another night of electro brilliance on SATURDAY 7 DECEMBER at The Amersham Arms.
This time we welcome one of London's most talented djs, the brilliant STOPMAKINGME, to London Sunshine. Normally heard at Kill ‘Em All and Adventures In The Beetroot Field at Fabric he has also has also dropped his post-punk / new wave / disco sounds with some of the best djs in the world at both Durrr and Bugged Out!
Having just finished touring with Simian Mobile Disco he has started remixing artists like Empire of the Sun, Patrick Wolf, Filthy Dukes and Little Boots. This is a rare chance to see him in such an intimate venue so don't miss out!
Supporting we have the wonderfully named JEFF'S SECRET CIGARETTES. Expect repetitive electronic structures in all shapes and sizes and melodies that get your synapses firing. Call it ‘dance music with feeling’ if you want something snappy...
As always your hosts DEPTFORD NOISE TEAM will be finishing the night with lots and lots of electro and other noisy goodness!
It is only £4 to get in and drinks are pub prices (and even cheaper if you have a regulars card). Come down, drink, dance and fall over.
London Sunshine is now at THE AMERSHAM ARMS so be sure to come down for what promises to be another fantastic night!
If you like the sound of London Sunshine then feel free to add us on Myspace as a friend (www.myspace.com/londonsunshine), we won't bite. Alternatively do join our Facebook group simply by searching for 'London Sunshine'.
