London Sunshine

London Sunshine is a monthly night that takes place at The Amersham Arms in New Cross. It is firmly based upon the following principles:

*LOUD MUSIC (INDIE/ELECTRO)
*CHEAP ENTRY
*EVEN CHEAPER ALCOHOL
*GENERAL IDIOCY

The idea behind the night is that it is just like a big house party where everyone can come, get ludicrously drunk, dance like a crazed lunatic and then do it all again. It isn't a particularly big or clever formula but it does appear to work.

London Sunshine is fairly young (it only started back in October 2007) but since then we have put on some of the best nights that South East London has seen in a long time. We have featured dj sets from Foals, Filthy Dukes, Stopmakingme, Casper C, Riotous Rockers, Marco del Horno, Dean Tynan, The Rakes, Last Japan, Poj Masta, Slutty Fringe, Dead Kids, Friendly Fires, Man Like Me, Goldierocks, Hatcham Social, Pull Tiger Tail, Race Riot, Gaucho, London Loves, Wilkie Wilkinson from Mr Hudson & The Library, Food Soundystem and A.R.F djs. We also put on a live set from Kennedy although that was just a little bit odd really.

London Sunshine is returning for another fanastic night of ill-advised behaviour. Following the success of the previous events we have decided to stick to a tried and tested formula of.... *LOUD MUSIC (INDIE/ELECTRO) *CHEAP ENTRY *GENERAL IDIOCY



London Sunshine is back at The Amersham Arms on Friday 12 November and we are excited that two of the UK's top young producers/djs are joining us.

The DPPLGNGRS are heading to The Amersham for a special set to celebrate the launch of their Gunslinger EP.The elecrtic twosome have played all over the world alongside everyone from Jack Beats to Tiga to Gary Numan to Hadouken!, and left dancefloors smouldering in their wake.

With the ability to effortlessly straddle everything from minimal technoid bleepery to disco to house to bass heavy twisted party-starters DPPLGNGRS never disappoint!

Local boys BAHAMIAN MOOR are well known in SE London for their eclectic club night and this set will be no exception. Anything goes but expect some reggae, disco, dance and calypso.

Hosts D.N.T will be blasting away as always with electro, piano house, more electro and then some electro.

After the barnstorming success of last time it will again be FREE before 11 and then £5 after that (£4 students).
