Lonely Accordion got her name because Carrie was lonely and so was her accordion. But the sweet melodies birthed from this lonesome unison proves that being lonely isn't always a bad thing. It all began when Carrie, in search of an accordion that was less than half her size, took her saved up dollars to a local antique store and handed them over to the owner in exchange for a little blue number, alone in the corner. They've been in euphonious bliss ever since!
Over the last year I've recorded this whole album myself, on my computer and mostly in my bedroom (a.k.a. Funkytown Studios). It was not an easy task to do. Playing all the instruments and singing all the parts on all the songs, all the way through (no looping) makes for hearing the same freaking song over and over again and then a few more times. It took a lot to remain focused and keep my music brain fresh. In the end, I am amazingly not sick of them all. And I am finally able to enthusiastically work on new ones! This new album has a few songs from the old album because this is how I have heard them in my head since I first wrote them. I am pleased to be able to present them to you as such. Thanks for listening!
You seriously have some amazing tunes. If you ever tour, or are just randomly up in Alberta, you should definitely write me something. I would love to book you up here in Peace River for a show. Also, is there anyway I could get a hold of some of your music? We do podcasts, and it'd be awesome to put some of your music in if you didn't mind.
yeah, but you were so awesome takin those pictures! they saved my ass in court. that was fuckin cool as shit. "good lookin out" i would give anything to be 15 again. there were some good fucking times. robo and wine, oh yeah! fallin down drunk, eatin acid and fightin with telephone poles in san fransisco! whoo hoo! not that i remember that, but i do remember you tellin me about it the next day. ha ha ha! damn, why did we ever leave? cheers to the wasted years
Dear Lordian Accordion, In the tangles of a moonlit marsh, Tethered to a willow’s wilting bough A beetle bent, and on one knee Sang this lilting song to me
‘Ring-a-ting ting Ringatung Ringatoo Soft and swift as morning dew-- Jinga jing jang Jingajangleree Is love, is wind, and so are we.’
