The Lonesome Cowboys from Hell are back from the dead after the loss of their revered founder John E. Cashmoney. This has given their previous outdoorsy good humour a much darker twist. Now they are lead vocalist Frank E. the Lonely Woodsman, multi -instrumentalist Gentleman Jk-ee (fretted strings, accordeon, perc), bucket bass player J. Blister (Jan Suchanek) and fiddle player A.N.Other Musician (Billy Smith).
They have been influenced by styles as diverse as C&W, blues, psychobilly, punk and skiffle, and if they ain't called psycho country they'll bust yer jaw. From this musical gumbo they have created original 'old time' songs that scrape the bottom of a Colt 45 barrel. Their songs deal with themes ranging from bad taste in décor, execution in the electric chair, the Post Post Modern blues and the inevitable disappointment of an extra thick milkshake.
Their stage appearances are very striking as they are accompanied by the statuesque Rodeo Marco, a Bethnal Green lowrider rider and the lounging Daisy Mae from Madame Fifi’s.
Not forgetting the amazing hand built and decorated bucket bass made n played by Jan E, and the vintage ukeleles, banjos and accordions played by Jk-ee.
Their performances are very lively affairs in which the audiences always get involved if only to get out of the way of those wanting to shoot ‘em off the stage.
