ONE MAN ONE CHORD
The problem with being left to one's own devices is that we seldom know how these devices work...
This solo show began I guess when I met and became good friends with Benjamin Darvil AKA "Son of Dave" whilst I was living in London (if you like what I'm doing, check him out!).
He hipped me to the type of looping pedal he uses which allows you to record a short piece or phrase and
then loop it and keep layering other loops on top of that until you build something that vaguely
represents a song or tune.
It's rough and ready and all happens live and in front of your very eyes... I started playing around with
it just for fun, did a couple of shows and people seemed to really dig it. Everything you hear is created either vocally or with a harmonica even the bass-lines are the harp being played through an octave pedal and everything goes through an old beat-up amp.
I'm currently messing around on my computer (when time allows) putting an album together. The tunes that
I've posted here were done for a TV series called "Innocent Times". These tracks are pretty Lo-Fi no mastering... & I'm still trying to teach myself Cubase, but anyway, this is it for now.
What you hear is what you get!
I am honored to present Horatio Lee Jenkins' new masterpiece, "Girl, This Bed Is Too Big Without All 12 Of You". It is undoubtedly the most romantic song ever made:
Thank you for your kind message about Horatio's glorious new masterpiece. I will pass it along to him.
Yes, you are correct that you warned him, but we are fortunate for his adversity for it resulted in his new masterpiece.
You have posted new music since my last visit to your page. It sounds fantastic. Please notify me when you next post new work. I look forward to hearing it.
Thank you for your kind message. I will pass it along to Horatio.
My friends and I really enjoyed both songs on your page. Very well written and very interesting arrangements!
I can assure you that Horatio Lee Jenkins has never had a hangover. His powers of alcoholic consumption are truly remarkable. Horatio is an amazing, amazing man.
Please spread the word about how Horatio Lee Jenkins' exceptional drinking abilities allowed him to humiliate Satan. So many lives could be touched and uplifted by his fabulous story and beautiful song.
And get "Drunker Than Satan"! It is amazing!
Thank you, Deacon Frederick Leroy Elroy Smith
P.S.-Enjoy the glorious video for "Drunker Than Satan":
