The Lonesome Kings were formed in February of 1999 by Greg Lonesome (vocals), Mr. Right Now (electric bass), Doc Holliday (guitar), and Quickdraw (drums). This lineup gigged frequently and recorded the "Sunday Morning Hymns" CD and the "Who's Your Daddy?" EP before Quickdraw and Doc Holliday left the band in October and November of 2000, respectively. After a brief hiatus, the Kings reformed in January of 2001 with Reverend Repulsive on guitar and "Handsome" Johnny Hormone on drums. In April of 2002, Mr. Right Now switched to upright bass and soon after, the Lonesome Kings began recording their long-awaited full-length "debut." "Shotgun Full of Blues" was released in August, 2003, and hit the world with both barrels blazing. The album quickly got the attention of rabid music fans from across the globe, and anticipation began for their next release. Unfortunately, the Kings called it a day in 2005 and their third and final album, "Legendary Suffering," was not released until 2006.
