In 1999 three young men from Torsby Sweden started a bluegrass-trio armed with a banjo, guitar, upright bass and ten songs in the key of G.
Since the start LM have done some changes and the recent lineup have been intact since 2007.
Lonesome Mountaineers have preformed all over Scandinavia and parts of Europe as well.
In 2003 they were voted number 1 European Bluegrass Band by the audience at the EWOB festival in Holland.
LM have shared the stage with lots of international bands like; Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time, BR5-49, The Country Gentlemen, John Moore, The James King Band, Frank Wakefield etc.
