document the life history of Coach Joe Newton, but it wont stop simply as a bio-pic it
is investigation into success itself.
The Long Green Line is not only a team, but also a lifestyle.
Joe Newton's Long Green Line has become a part of Cross Country history. His
teams have won more championships than any other team in the history of the
world. The Long Green Line is Coach Joe Newton, and York High School Cross Country

"The Long Green Line" motion picture, which chronicles renown York head boys cross country coach Joe Newton and the Dukes' 2005 state championship season, will make its Chicago-area screen debut at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Lake Forest College as part of the second annual Lake Forest Film Festival.
The movie will be shown at Meyer Auditorium in Hotchkiss Hall. Admission is $5 for non-Lake Forest College students and seating is limited.
I'm sure I speak for many people when I say Mr. Newton ranks second only behind my parents as the most important influence in determining the person I have become. I am very glad this project exists.
