LIBS BLUES NEWS:
The LIBS is sad to announce that the scheduled showing of Dial M For Mississippi had to be canceled due to an unforeseen problem at the Library. We hope to reschedule shortly
*********LIBTC 2010*********
Well it’s that time of year again! The LIBS will be taking applications for this year's LIBTC (Long Island Blues Talent Competition) to choose our representatives for the IBC’s Memphis.
We are looking for bands and solo / duo participants who are LIBS members in good standing.There are some expenses you will have to endure. The LIBS will be running 2 fundraisers and one going away party in order to help raise some of your travel expenses.Please email all submissions to Mike. You have until July 4, 2009 to apply. The LIBS Board will review all applications.
The LIBTC will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Fatty Beltbuckles located at 49 Route 25 A, Rocky Point New York. The competition starts at 2:00 PM with a mix of band and solo / duo. Donation at the door to help with the winners expenses is $10.00. For more of the rules click here.

The 3Gs ('aka Grateful Garcia Gathering), is returning back to the Camp NCN Venue in beautiful Black River Falls Wisconsin July 30th though August 2nd 2009 where it all began over 6 years ago! A grateful place where Garcia fans will be gathering! It also marks the celebration of Jerry Garcia's 67th Birthday, plus the 14th Anniversary of Jerry's untimely passing. We have leased the campground venue for July 30th though August 3rd 2009 for our 6th annual music festival. Other great music festivals have hosted at this venue such as Weedstock, Farmapalooza, Big Wu Family Reunion, Campout Roots Festival,just to name a few!
