Our mission is to enhance the health, wellness and cultural competency of LGBT young people through supportive services, education and youth development. This is our Street Outreach Van. It goes to the communities of Hempstead, Uniondale, Freeport, Roosevelt and Westbury
looking for homeless/ runaway youth ages 10-21. So if you know anyone who does not have a place to stay please
have them call the hotline number above. The van also has workers that help youth who are struggling with gang issues. You may also see some of our staff in your school running groups or offering counseling. We're here for you, so call our hotline or look for our van and staff.

As an advocate for many years I try to bring awareness of the issues that the youth in our country have to face.
I've done this through my speaking engagements and now my book Runaway .
I'm so happy to befriend others who share the same concerns and make efforts towards helping young adults as I do.

Without love we cannot live.
We cannot live without compassion
We cannot have compassion without heart
We cannot have heart with out circumstances.
Through life, we live, learn, fall down, jump up, and we rise up to be stronger people for it. Yet, we weaken ourselves and give in more times than we jump up and dust ourselves off. We wonder why bad things happen to innocent people? We role around in self pity and never want to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I believe, if we set ourself aside for 1 moment in time, we will see a day nobody cried. You are truly a remarkably strong woman. May God always bless you.
