We are Long Ryde, a group guys from the Southern York County area. We got our name kinda by accident, it didn't matter if we were meeting for practice or playing a job, someone had a long ride. We added the "y" because it looks pretty cool! In our group its basically all about the fun, when its no longer fun, its over. We do however strive to give you the best show we can with a little fun and some quality music.
I think it would be hard to find another group of guys who get along as good as we do and have as much fun.
Let me introduce Long Ryde:
Palmer Druck Jr.our mandolin player, is a very talented picker and singer. His strong lead vocals and knack for knowing just when to come in on a song, makes him an asset to Long Ryde. We don't really have a "leader" of the band but Palmer is usually the one we push into this position!!
Jay Rohacek, well what can I say about Jay? He is the youngest and one of the more "out going" in the group. His steady bass beats and vocals definitely could never be replaced by anyone else!
Bill Kegarise our banjo player, he is very talented on the banjo and an accomplished guitar player and every now and then we can even get him to sing. We would be hard pressed to find another picker like Bill, he's kinda like our saftey net, in case we make a mistake he's there to cover for us!
Dale Aubel, who is kinda new to the band, is one of the most talented fiddle, guitar, bass, piano and all most anything picker we could ever hope to find. His vocals are adding new depths to our music. He's always smiling for one reason or another and he's an all around fun guy!
And now on to me, I am Shane Robinson. I play guitar and sing, I'm your basic guitar player and sing lead, tenor vocals.
Our first Cd is titled "Movin' Baltimore" and we have two songs being played weekly on local radio stations from this cd. Our new Cd is finally done, We call it "Fun In The Kitchen" It's an all original music cd. Everyone has wrote a song for this project, so it's full of variety, and some pretty dang good music!They are availabile at The Arrow Horse in Gettysburg, RLH Guitars in Red Lion, And anywhere we are playing!!
