CHRIS HANGER (Blues Harp/Vocals) -
Chris’ musical tastes cover a wide variety of genres but when it comes to performing he loves the blues. He says it’s a style of music that everyone can relate to. Chris’ early influences were mainly songs that his parents listened to such as Elvis, Joe Cocker, CCR, and Janis Joplin. But it was bands like Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Van Morrison, the Jimi Hendrix Experience and other artists that made him realise they were really just playing the blues. He then sought out greats such as Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, BB King, Magic Slim and Elmore James and has never looked back.

JONATHAN PAGE (Bass/Vocals) -
JP's love of music has followed an unusually winding track over the years, and at an early stage of his musical journey, he developed an appreciation for the sounds of the band America, Poco, Neil Young, The Doobie Brothers, Canned Heat, John Mellencamp and Tony Joe White. No matter what styles of music continue to take his interest, the countrified rock and blues sound was one of the cornerstones of JP's musical passion and the main reason he is delighted to have joined the Longyard band.

LIAM WEBB (Drums/Vocals) -
Liam is the founding member of Longyard with a tradition that dates back to 2000. He loves the blues, rock & roll, country-rock and anything that's up-tempo & swings. He has played with and backed many weird & wonderful bands and solo performers in & around Melbourne. Longyard is his passion, however he is also proficient drumming in bands or with musicians of other genres. Liam has also turned his hand to songwriting & arranging and is a keen student regarding the history of popular music. Liam's musical inspiration is John Mayall & all his numerous Bluesbreakers .. and of course the Classic Blues Greats !

BRUCE MOUNTJOY (Guitars/Vocals) -
Bruce is a guitar virtuoso and has played in many rock & blues bands around town. He has slotted seamlessly into the Longyard lineup with his soloing being a highlight of the live performances .
Bruce started playing the guitar at age 12 after being exposed to his father’s music which he heard on a Pye Blackbox record player. He can turn his hand to almost any style of music on his US Fender Strat, ranging from ballads to heavy rock. Bruce has played in various venues, from seedy bars to headline gigs with large audiences. He can’t count the number of rock bands he has played in over the past 24 years, and feels very enthusiastic about slipping into the good genuine blues gear that he finds in the Longyard repertoire.

mix of members who are right into the influences which embrace swinging boogie blues, cajun/gumbo, rock & roll soul.
