DEATH MEDDLE........
By some appearances Lonnie Fisher is a morbid fellow....he and his band, THE FUNERAL, featuring Steve Bagwell, Charles McVey and former Sturgeon Mill drummer Chris Nunez, drive a white hearse to shows and have the appearance of a band that won't quit until it's six feet underground.
That voice-a classic sound modeled after Roy Orbison's croon-quotes,"write what you feel and people will listen, my favorite songwriters don't put any barrier in front of what they're willing to write". Perhaps it's the proximity of tragedy that keeps Fisher so motivated. His signature song is titled "Kill Yourself or I Will"-an elegy for a friend who committed suicide. Later, after the disbanding of his outfit Sturgeon Mill, a fixture in Lawrence from 1999-2002, Fisher traded his guitar for a fishing pole and a chefs hat, which ended in 2005 with the release of his solo album "Ghost of The Ballerina", a keenly produced affair engineered by Ed Rose at Blacklodge Studio....................RICHARD GINTOWT from PITCH WEEKLY.

Once again we are offering a chance to win a $500 - 10 hr recording session from Black Lodge Studios in Eudora.
We are exploring some different criteria as we do every year but basically you just gotta rock out and get as many people there as you can to win the Grand Prize.
Battle for Black Lodge begins on Fri June 5th
Dates available Fri 6/5 Sat 6/6 Sat 6/20 Fri 6/26
July Fri 7/10 Sat 7/11 Fri 7/17 Sat 7/18 Fri 7/24 Sat 7/25
and so on for final rounds
The First Round dates will include 1-2 locals, and 1-2 area bands as scheduling is available. Winners move on to second round. I am always flexible on scheduling so let me know of any possible conflicts throughout the summer.
Payout is a split as usual and these shows are some of the best The Trap has to offer. These competitions really give your fans a reason to get out and support you.

Hi, this is Chuck here, I was Samuel Locke Ward's bass player who got all wasted and fell off the stage. SOrry about that, but I did end up remembering that you guys played great, Anyway since then I downloaded the songs you have here on the MySpace and been listening to them and I can't get them out of my head. This stuff is seriously good. You wouldn't by chance be taking pre-orders on that CD, would you?
