in·die
Pronunciation: 'in-de
Function: noun
Etymology: by shortening & alteration from independent
Date: 1928
1: one that is independent; especially : an unaffiliated record or motion-picture production company
2: something (as a record or film) produced by an indie
— indie adjective
After moving to Los Angeles from his home of 12 years, Austin Texas, Lonnie began recording “Lonnie Trevino Jr. Presents…IndieGO!” on his own, Produced, Engineered, Arranged, Performed and Written all in a span of a year and a half.
This CD is his further attempt to distance himself from the music industry as we know it.
Drawing from his newly found inspiration Guided By Voices, rediscovering older influences such as The Beatles, Cheap Trick and Lenny Kravitz’s Baptism CD, (in which Lenny plays the majority of the instruments, Produces and Writes all of the songs) Lonnie creates a happier, more fun loving CD than his last deeper, more introspective and personal CD’s of the past.
Each Song was written in about a day then recorded in full the next day with the exception of “Lucky Girl” which took a few months and was the last to be completed.
…And now “Lonnie Trevino Jr. Presents…IndieGO!”
