at 7 pm on august 2, 2007, look!bandits! played their first show in hagerstown, maryland.
at 2 am on august 3, 2007, the right rear wheel of the look!bandits! van was unceremoniously separated from its axle whilst the aforementioned van was hurtling through downtown rockville, maryland.
it was awesome.
since that illustrious beginning, look!bandits! have been creating focused, soulful music in the tradition of the bands that inspired them to play music in the first place. think about what might result from mixing death cab for cutie with the used and blink-182, and you’ve arrived in look!bandits!’s sonic neighborhood. combine that with a musical chemistry that can only be achieved by lifelong friends who learned how to play together, and the songs and stories offered by these DC natives on their first ep take on the vibe of something special that audiences can’t help but take to heart.
