Lookin 4 Juice formed in Escatawpa Mississippi in 2004. The young group of musicians, influenced by the likes of Incubus, RHCP, 3 Doors Down, Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Rise Against, Dokken, and Sevendust, started polishing on some original ideas in a local recording studio in Pascagoula MS. Through long hours, hard work, and immense dedication these songs became the 14 tracks on their self titled debut album. The album was set to release in October of 2005, however the devastating Hurricane Katrina destroyed their hometown of Escatawpa and the entire gulf coast region. Despite the wreckage of their homes and the loss of most of there music equipment to water damage, Lookin 4 Juice recovered, self released, and set out to tour their album that they had worked so hard on; selling a thousand copies at their powerfully presented shows and charity events. In the summer of 2006 the band went back to work writing and doing pre-production on a new album, while playing as many shows as possible to expand their already wide-ranging, all ages fan base, and established their unique sound throughout their region. Taking the stage with national touring acts like Papercut Massacre, Neurosonic, 12 Stones, Egypt Central, Absence of Concern, Edwin McCain, and Sister Sera to name a few. In this same time period L4J was competing in and winning several battle of the bands around the southeast, Taking 1st place at ROCK WARS in Hattiesburg in 2008 and have earned the right to open FOX Fest in the spring of 2009. Lookin 4 Juice has been playing packed out shows at several major college campuses, fraternity parties, and most all the top clubs around the south east region. In May 2008, L4J released their 2nd full length album titled LISTEN TONIGHT, being described as lyrically powerful, high energy, extremely taseful music with emotions being poured in from every direction imaginable. Currently L4J is receiving airplay for their newly released album on radio stations and radio shows throughout the US and UK and are receiving excellent responses by fans requesting their new songs. Lookin 4 Juice is being considered one of the prominent up and coming pop/rock bands in their region, and have established an ever-growing fan base of all ages and dedicated fans on the local and Regional/National level. The band generates immense energy in their live performances through tasteful lyrics, ripping guitars, solid bottom end and slamming percussion. Many people comment on how tight and together the band performs on stage, all the while keeping the energy at the highest level possible. Lookin 4 Juice has set towering goals and has the heart and desire to excel to the next level, and plan work as hard as it takes to achieve their goals. The band took a small hiatus during the Summer of 2008 to regroup with several new members with an even stronger focus on the music and goal at hand. They quickly started writing new material, rocking crowds all over the Gulf Coast and garnering more awards. L4J stepped back into the studio in July 09 to start laying down the songs that will become their 3rd full length album.
The creator, singer, and songwriter, Derek Norsworthy, along with guitar players Zach Christensen and Adam Cook, Bass player Jeremy Smith, and Drummer, Byron Cox all combine to create the intensity, excitement, creativity, and music of Lookin 4 Juice.
