About Looking Glass Wars (follow us on Twitter!-LGWBAND)
Produced, engineered and mixed by Mike Kalajian (Just Surrender, the Audition, Ace Enders), A Place in a Parlor is a conscious musical and lyrical departure from Looking Glass Wars' previous full length debut, The Musician. Journeying through a number of genres, A Place in a Parlor contains tracks that touch upon the varied musical influences of the band's members, including rockabilly, surf, and alt-country, while still maintaining the dark pop/rock sound that garnered the Musician much acclaim, including securing the New York natives a spot on Absolutepunk.net's 2008 "Absolute 100."
A concept record of sorts, A Place in a Parlor features five distinct stories involving the patrons of a bar which shares the albums name. To help realize singer/songwriter Brendan Rivera's vision, the band enlisted the help of guest vocalists Lou Pomposello (Safe as Houses) and Carly Wasserstein on the tracks "Addicted to Your Touch" and "Deuce! Deuce! Deuce!" respectively. Guitarist Kenneth Fletcher, along with bassist Andrew Santucci, percussionist Phil DiRaffaele and drummer Rich Barone lay the foundations of the musical odyssey, with Rivera contributing the meandering guitar lines that make A Place in a Parlor stand out amongst the uninspired, cookie-cutter efforts constantly being released by Looking Glass Wars' peers.

Since when are you playing with Silverstein? :O! I was planning on getting to the concert late so I didn't have to endure Norma Jean, but now that you've taken their place... Hopefully I'll be able to make it on time to see you.
