About me:
Ever since you've known me, I've been dead.
I am the subject of my youngest daughter's funny and quirky new memoir about death, grief, and healing: Looks Like Howard. Scheduled for release in March 2008 by Behler Publications, the book is a hilariously irreverent romp through Patricia's uniquely twisted imagination inspired by memories of her tragic childhood.
However dead I might be, I thrive through the collective memory of my widow and Patricia's brothers and sisters. Questions of what really happened to me give way to fantasy suspicions that include my next-door neighbor who was last seen with me, secret government projects, and alien abduction. Truer tales range from imaginative family antics at graveside, to playing Jesus on the sidewalk.
Patricia's flashes of memory illuminate the complexity of our family relationships revealing--though never wallowing in--grief, deceit, rivalry, and love.
