Loose Tongues are the trio of John Rockwell, Kevin Levesque and Robert Brown, a group that formed after many of John's regular Irish pub sessions and gigs in the Salem, MA area. Being busy enough musicians by their own rights, they started getting together once in a while to share the songs that have influenced their musical paths, from Beatles and Dylan to U2, Crowded House, XTC and beyond. They named themselves, Loose Tongues, based on the lyrics from a Neil Finn song of the same name:
In all our given days
How many gone to waste
A good man has been hung
Because of my loose tongue
When these three get together to perform, they become a whole greater than the sum of their parts. A mutual love of pop music's great songwriters, Lennon & McCartney, the afore-mentioned Neil Finn, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Difford & Tilbrook, Elvis Costello and others makes it easy for them to share the joy.
