I have been into Rap and Electronic music for years now, and some of these "Looter" recordings are up to 4 or 6 years old.
I started making beats in first year university (Carleton, in Ottawa). I was listening to a lot of Trance and Techno at the time, so a lot of my first attempts were in that vein.
Eventually I started using ACID, Cool Edit Pro, Fruity Loops and a few other programs. I started using royalty free sanples, then created my own, lately I've been using short samples from obscure 60's Psychedelic Rock / Pop songs to make wicked rap beats. I won't be posting those on here, as I haven't paid to use the sample and it is technically illegal (I believe), but trust me, I've cooked up a few scorchers.
I used to rap in the past, under the names "Knowledge Kick", "Parking Lot Knowledge" and "Beach Johnson". I've taken to playing solo and with a band in other musical endevours instead. Ideally I'd like to be making beats / leectronic fuckery while playing rock shows on the side. We'll see how the quest goes.
The Foreign will be performing and opening alongside, Dante, Carlo, LS, Flip Kuma, for Atherton and the Throw Ups. There will also be visual artists kwerty, elroy, JD, Neat, sberk LADIES FREE BEFORE 11PM
