I've come to have incredible respect for those whose musical talents are used for Christ's message and do a good job at it, which really could be anything. I'm not partial to style anymore. But in particular, I like Chris Tomlin, Pillar, Leland, Grits, Hillsong, Rita Springer, Jason Upton, Dizmas, David Crowder Band, Devil Wears Prada, RED, Family Force 5. I'm sure there are many more, but those ones come to mind without stretching overtly.
Movies
Fearless, Kung Fu Hustle, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Gladiator, Indian Jones, Star Wars...ummm, yeah. There's probably more. I'm always up for a good comedy, drama...adventure...chickflick (yeah I know, but somehow I watch them)...OH, and old movies kick.
Television
Avatar: Last of the Airbenders, Doctor Who, Stargate SG-1, Prison Break, I do enjoy the occassional House episode, and 24 has become increasingly addicting, and Lost.
Books
Bible, House, Blue Like Jazz, Three Kings, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Mixing with your mind, Things Fall Apart,...there's probably a huge list of books out there that I borrow ideas from..but I cant remember them right now.
About me: I'm a christian that looks down on emotional christianity. Though I know emotions were given to us by God to give us a way to express ourselves [God knows I think its a wonderful gift], its a horrific basis for faith. With that aside, I'm Jon Harris, student, volunteer, occasional leader/teacher, Christian, son, uncle, and friend. I've not done much with my life up to this point, so far I'm still a middle class born american living in suburbia with far more privileges than I deserve. But even w/ all of the natural skepticism that I have within me, I'm hopeful to a fault that God will use me to some end at some point. The only step forward I know from here is that I'm going to Valley Forge Christian College to study preaching. I am still eternally hopeful that soon all things will be made clear by Him that saved me from myself. Though I see more negative than positive in this world, as of yet I am still eternally hopeful in the power of absolute Love that pours from the heart of God that eventually all things will see the truth and mystery of God for what it really is. I'm unsure as to what form that will take, but my only desire of my heart is to be apart of it. Even a small role on the support side of things would be worthwhile to me. Though I realize that there are more days of maintenance than there are of extravagance, I'm still looking forward to the days ahead.
And thats me in a nutshell...at least the positive bits.
The negative bits are that when under great deals of stress I can get very short w/ people, I take mockery far too personally, I forget things often, I'm difficult to motivate initially, I've recovered from thoughts of suicide after a miracle of God saving my life, and w/ God's help I'm going to completely beat lust in my life... but still I am hopeful. Hopeful to a fault.
p.s.-my new rant is how the world has placed women lower than they should be. They need to be put back on the pedestal. Appreciated more, and more purely.

At family and friends Pizza Buffet on the Carlisle Pike, in the same plaza as a brand new Five Guys.
I know we've been sending out a lot of comments recently, but it's a lot easier to connect with each person individually this way. =] So we have another show this weekend. But the neat thing is, it's like a venue we're starting. It's called The Seventh Day Showcase, being held at Family and Friends Pizza Buffet. We'll have bands playing with us and we're having the very first one this weekend. On Sunday, May 4th, From 6PM till 9PM. The tickets are six bucks. The bands playing are Dance Hall Hero, Nathaniel Hoho, and Us. You should come out and see us. You should also add The Seventh Day Showcase's myspace. We'll put all the bands and what not at the bottom of the comment for you.
We'd love to have you there singing along, so if you live close, come see us play!
This Saturday the 26th, at 8 o'clock, We're playing at the Crimson Frog, it's free and we want to get the place packed. Please come out and see us play! =] We'll also be selling our CD's and tshirts like always, so come out a grab a copy.

We are playing in the battle of the Bands this Friday. It's at Cedar Cliff High School, starting at 5PM and ending at 9PM, We will be one of the first bands to play, and we need you to come out and vote for us. so you should come out and bring friends and say hello, and see us play!
HELP!!! lol. I am doing my research paper and I am stuck. okay.. so I have 8 sources (I know we only need 8 but I want more). I have 1 book, one web address and the rest like opposing viewpoints and escohost. Question tho. Mine is on discipline and I was wonderign if you knew if we could just present both sides and then gives ours at the end. Cause I was going to focus it on schools and discipline but I am not finding anything on that. ok. lol. Im really stuck. And by the way mister.. where have you been in class? lol. no but seriusly... are we allowed to do that?
