Q&A with Lord K.
Been single for most of the year?
Not one day :)
Done something you've regretted?
Nope. Nothing I can think of.
Lost someone?
No. I kept the people who are important to me right by my side or within a phone call.
Cut class?
No classes for me this year, but several study sessions if that counts. And no, no cutting there. Went to every one I scheduled.
Anyone betray you?
Last year's answer still stands on this one. No one I know of betrayed me. Of course, if they did they didn't have the balls to own up to it. No surprises there.
I did, however, sniff out an impending betrayal that eventually befell a close friend which completely sucked and the parties responsible should not only be ashamed of themselves, but should also know karma is a bitch and it will burn them two-fold. Have fun with that. And yea Bitch -- I am a cold, cruel-hearted fucker who tells it like it is aren't I? Doesn't change the fact that I was right and you are a little slut bag who doesn't deserve what she had. Thanks for freeing up my buddy so he can find himself a good woman he can trust.
Were involved in something you'll never forget?
My surprise birthday party! Was a great, great thing that I still appreciate the hell out of. Thanks again to April and everyone.
Purchase that was over $1000?
My fiancée's engagement ring.
Visited a different country?
Nope.
One thing you thought you'd never do but did in 2009?
Ask someone (April) to marry me.
Cooked a gross meal?
April says "Never!" so I'll take her word for it, lol.
Your favorite moment?
Kneeling down on the terrace at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and watching April's eyes tear up as I asked her to marry me (and then her saying "yes" of course!).
Lost something important to you?
Nope. Kept it all intact this year.
Your best month of '09?
Gotta go with March. April and I hit our one year mark and got engaged.
We completed the Nightmare RIR film (LINK!) that at many times seemed as though it'd never see light of day. Big accomplishment at the time.
My Louisville Cardinals won the Big East in the year it was considered one of the toughest conferences in the history of college basketball, earned the #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and I was featured on local TV talking about it.
Got a gift you adore?
My surprise birthday party!
Where did you begin 2009?
At my future sister-in-law's with April, getting drunk and playing Rock Band.
What music will you remember 2009 by?
Not really a valid question. Although Megadeth released an album, there was nothing by any band I care for that had any impact on me. I don't follow mainstream crap and the new Alice In Chains was a letdown.
Tripped over a coffee table?
Nope (again)
Relive 2009 over and over again?
Nope. I don't believe in that. Always look forward.
Dyed your hair?
Nope
What was your status by Valentine's Day?
In a relationship, less than a month from being engaged.
Came close to losing your life?
Nope. Despite guns all around me, didn't point any of them at myself.
How did you earn your money?
Uncle Sam and many independent jobs that I'm sure would make him smile, lol.
Went to a party?
My surprise b-day party, a couple other b-day get-togethers, and had a kickass Halloween event (WATCH HERE!).
Read a great book?
In the process of reading one now (thanx Chia!).
Did you have to go to the hospital?
Yea, but not for me. Mom broke her foot back in late winter. Took her to the ER.
Saw one of your favorite bands/artists live?
Nope. Bands/artists I like just don't come around here often.
2009: FRIENDS AND ENEMIES
Did you meet any new friends this year?
Not that I recall.
Did you dislike anyone?
I dislike mostly everyone out in the world with a few exceptions: My inner circle and a few in April's.
Did you grow apart from anyone?
No one comes to mind.
Do you have any regrets when it comes to your friendships?
My true friendships, no. My acquaintances, well I guess that's a no too. I call people acquaintances when I have no expectations for them, so they can't disappoint me or cause me to feel regret.
2009 : YOUR BIRTHDAY!
Did you have a cake?
Yes, I did!
What did you do for your birthday?
As mentioned a couple times -- had a surprise birthday party courtesy of April and my close friends and family. First time that had ever been done for me. Was hella cool.
Did you get any presents?
The event was a gift in itself, but everyone chipped in to get me a badass digital radio scanner on top of that. Thanks again, btw. That was awesome of you all.
2009: ALL ABOUT YOU
Did you change at all this year?
Not that I can think of. That might be a better question for someone close to me.
Did you change your style?
Got a pair of shoes that have little black in them. That hasn't happened since I was in middle school, lol.
Were you in school?
Was there using lab time.
Did you have a job?
Independently, yes
Did anyone close to you give birth?
No one I can think of, so I guess not.
Did you move at all?
No.
Did you go on any vacations?
Came real close to repeating our Christmas getaway from last year, but nixed it in favor of something else. We'll get back there soon!
Would you change anything about yourself now?
Would make more time to create and produce. I have so many projects I want to get to, but there never seems to be enough time.
2009: WRAP UP
Was 2009 a good year?
Overall, yes. There were some low points but that's just life.
Do you think 2010 will top 2009?
I do. 2009 presented it's challenges for myself and my family. '10 will be better for everyone, I believe.
Thanks again to April, my close family, and my great friends for a good year. May all our endeavors bring success and happiness. 2010 is just another number, but it doesn't have to be just another year. Make it count!
Also, thanks again to all my weekly viewers. Some people have asked if the "Best Of" video meant the Shoot of the Week is ending. Not at all! It was just a recap of the first 32 episodes, not a farewell. Tune in Sunday night/Monday morning for the first episode of 2010!
Happy New Year, Friends.
