About our 1st album, 'Lords Of Bukkake'....There are plenty of bands out there that wear their love for the swampy sludge of Nawlins' on their sleeve. I'm a sucker for a big, fat bluesy doom riff myself. So are the sleazily named Lords Of Bukkake, a Spanish trio that includes members of the harsh noise group Sons Of Bronson and prog-rockers Cuzo, who lumber through five long tracks of noxious, swollen doom on their debut album. Nearly an hour's worth of super slow, crushing riffage and pounding slo-mo drums, and there's no mistaking the Louisiana influence here, the swampy sub-Sabbath sludge in the vein of Eyehategod and Weedeater, a bit slower maybe, but with that greasy feedback splattered sound that Eyehategod pioneered. As heavy as their mentors, but the thing that I really dig about these mudjunkies is the vocals - the singer has this weird, high-pitched snarl that sounds like his vocals are being run though a bunch of FX processors that turns 'em into this gnarly demonic rasp that sounds pretty nuts. Ever seen Ridley Scott's 1985 sword and sorcery flick Legend? Remember the goblin Blix with the blue skin and that freaky modulated voice? Well, imagine that creep fronting Eyehategod or Weedeater or Bongzilla at their absolute slowest, and that's a bit like what Lords Of Bukkake sound like. The band also uses a lot of cool effects and electronics in the background, like in the last ten minutes of the opening track "Black Lung" where swirling Hawkwind-like oscillations and cosmic whirr appear, drifting around the burly riffing. Cool! Those weird processed vocals remind me of Today Is The Day, but if that band was combined with ultra heavy slow motion doom. Cuz this is most definitely DOOM. Fans of Grief, Black Cobra, Eyehategod, Weedeater, Bongzilla, Sleep, Electric Wizard and that sort of super heavy doom/sludge metal will love 'em. The CD comes with a sticker and a 1" button, full color packaging, eight page booklet and grimy photography depicting various scenes of urban squalor..... BIO EN ESPAÑOL .... Formado en el 2003 por gente que militaba (o había militado) en formaciones tan dispares como Taunus (stoner hard rock), Sons Of Bronson (power electronics) y Unabomber (grindcore), los Bukkake debutamos en directo a principios del 2005, en el Sludge and the Family Stoner, primer festival barcelonés dedicado al sludge y el doom, cuyo cartel completaban Monolith, Eight Hands For Khali y los griegos Lord 13. En los posteriores meses compartimos escenario con grupos como The Eyes, Atomic Bitchwax, Iron Batasuna o High On Fire. A finales del mismo año el grupo vivió varios cambios de formación y rozó la disolución. Pero, qué coño, finalmente cobró nueva vida como cuarteto, rebautizado como Lords Of Bukkake y con las incorporaciones del guitarrista Jaume Pantaleón (12Twelve, Liquid Machine) y del batería Sergio Linares (ex Uziel y también batería de Ebola). Ya con la nueva alineación bien engrasada, hemos compartido escenario con grupos internacionales como Suma, Monarch!, Black Cobra y Saviours, y con algunos grandes del rock underground ibérico, como Warchetype, Moho, Adrift, Moksha, Positiva, Rhino o El Páramo. Un día infernal de agosto del 2007 grabamos nuestro primer disco. Bill Anderson se encargó de masterizarlo y en 2008 fue editado por los sellos Odio Sonoro y Gaia Records. Durante las mismas sesiones, también grabamos un tema de 20 minutos, "My Three Falls", que ha sido editado justo un año después, en septiembre de 2009, en un CD split junto a los amigos de Warchetype y Sons Of Bronson. En junio de 2009 participamos en la primera edición del HERETIC FEST en Barcelona junto a Electric Wizard, Moho y Warchetype. Pocas semanas después entramos a grabar los cuatro temas que conforman nuestro segundo álbum, Desorden Y Rencor, el cual ha sido editado en julio de 2010 por el sello Total Rust. ¡Pronto anunciaremos la edición en vinilo! ..
